  1. There are a couple companies that make very nice spinning reels in the USA. Would like to see more spinning reels made in the USA and sold for reasonable prices. For example entry level spinning reels could sell for $20-50, intermediate reels for $50-100, and high end reels for $100-300.

  4. Congratulations on your new personal best bass.
  5. It would be good to see more fishing gear made in the USA. The more fishing gear is produced in the USA the lower the cost can be. A lot of Americans would gladly buy made in the USA products if they sold for reasonable prices which can be done.
  6. The more you fish from the shore the better you will get. Same can be said for kayak fishing and boat fishing.
  7. Anyone can have sponsors as long as you have enough people following you on social media and you are not picky on which company you promote products for.

  10. I feel that you can learn from anyone but there are certain people that go too far when giving advice. For example a person who has never caught a bass over 8 pounds should probably not be giving advice on how to catch 8 pound or bigger bass to someone who has caught many 8 pound or bigger bass. Also someone that has never caught a certain species of fish or has caught few of them should probably not give advice to someone who has caught hundreds of fish of that particular species.
  11. I agree. Muskies will hit bass lures just like bass will hit muskie lures.

  13. You can always send a text to your email of the amount of bass you caught, along with other information. That way you can save money and can use that extra money to buy more important things.

  15. The fish you are holding in your hands is a rock bass.
  16. Nice catch. I learned many years ago that a good net is worth its weight in gold. Have landed many big fish without a net but I prefer having a net since it increases the chances of landing a big fish.
  17. It does not look like a pure shoal bass, at least by looking at the picture provided by the OP. It looks like a hybrid black bass which is common around Atlanta. I have caught shoal bass, Chattahoochee bass, Bartram's bass and many other black bass species in Georgia along with other black bass species in other states.
  18. Sounds like a good place to fish a hollow belly frog, weedless rigged soft plastics, and other lures that can be fished in and around aquatic vegetation.
  19. Georgia has at least 10 species of black bass and many of them are known to hybridize with each other. Do you have better pictures of this fish? That photo is not the best to properly identify a black bass, especially if it is a hybrid. Many hybrid black bass are caught around the Atlanta area. Send that photo to a Georgia state Fisheries Biologist for better identification.

  23. Better to listen to the music you really like than follow the crowd and listen to music that is ''trendy''.
  24. Shimano Stradics are one of my favorite reels.
