  1. Every place is different so regulations cannot be exactly the same everywhere. Florida gets lots of fishing pressure from locals, people from other states, people from other countries, yet the bass fishing is still world class. In Florida you can fish for bass whenever you want which is great. The bass here grow fast and are very plentiful.
  2. Congratulations.
  3. Looks good!
  4. Any activity that you sit for a majority of the time is not a sport for me. Active hunting is a sport, sitting down for hours by some baited private land area is not. Curling is more of a sport than any activity you sit down. At least with curling you are getting a good workout, same cannot be said for sitting down while bass fishing. With that said anyone can fish whichever way they want if it makes them happy which is the most important thing in fishing.
  5. The Shimano Stradic was a very good recommendation.
  6. The fishing must be very good in that lake for you to want to go back with that loud music you do not like. lol
  7. I see most here prefer to sit down to fish. I prefer to stand since I fish for exercise so I prefer to stand and walk while fishing. For me sitting down while fishing takes the sporting aspect out of fishing. Nothing wrong with that if your goal is just to relax but can't really call it a sport if you are sitting down most of the time.
  8. Most of the wade fishing I do is in the ocean. Have done some wade fishing in freshwater lakes and rivers.
  9. I would have still fished in another location. Maybe it is different where you live but where I live there are many places where someone can fish.
  10. Grass carp and common carp are found in most states so there is a good chance they are near where you live. Try fishing corn on the bottom.
  11. I see. That music can be annoying. I personally would have left and fish somewhere else. For me fishing is a time I go to relax in the Outdoors so I do my best to fish in places away from people.
  12. What type of music where they playing @ATA?
  13. Thank you. The Op was going back and forth with another member about stuff that does not matter. That thread got closed. You forgot to mention one's better half (Wife, Husband, etc). I agree.
  14. Another option is you can make your own lures.
  15. Best piece of advice I can give you is to focus more on your bass fishing game and worry less about what some person says online about you.
  16. I rather stand or walk while bass fishing. At least this way I get some good exercise.
  17. 20 pound braid is visible underwater and so is any other braided line. The bass still bite since what matters most is how you work a lure.
  18. If it works for him than good for him. As for me I have no need for painted sinkers. I catch lots of bass, many of them are lunkers, all from land from highly pressured public waters. I am sure the bait monkey disagrees since it wants everyone to buy as much tackle as possible. lol I agree with you 100%.
  19. Buying your own lures is better than hoping someone gives you some.
  20. Zoom Super Flukes are one of my favorite soft plastics to fish with.
  21. I find it interesting how some swear black sinkers are more effective than sinkers without paint. I do very well with non painted sinkers and never saw the need to use painted sinkers.
  22. Welcome to the forum
  23. The worst thing about fishermen are fishermen that are googans. Googans do not care you are the only one fishing a canal for hundreds of yards, they will walk right next to you since they see you catching fish. Googans do not respect the environment, they throw trash on the floor. A true Outdoorsman finds his own fish and respects the environment.
  24. Very nice salmon @Bubba 460! Salmon are one of my favorite fish to eat and would like to fish for them in a future vacation. 65 years of fishing is impressive and longer than many of us here have been alive. I can only imagine the stories you have.
