  1. In my quest to become a better angler...I have came across someone passing on the teachings of Buck Perry. Don Dickson is his name, he has a website with a blog and a few YouTube videos. https://www.facebook.com/DonDicksonFishing/ http://dondicksonfishing.com/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMOkkcQIDRcdm-f4al4iCcA It appears as though his online presence is a new creation as of 2018...but has taught spoonplugging for years...he even has a video of him with Buck Perry. Just thought I would pass on this tidbit of knowledge, in the hopes that I can help guide someone else to become a successful angler...it's a great feeling.
  2. I have that book...but in the beginning of it...Roland makes a statement about Buck Perry and Spoonplugging and how it is non-sense. Did not agree with that part from Roland and have not picked the book back up since.
  3. I am sure @Catt will have some input on how bad TB is
  4. Some call it trolling...some call it moderating
  5. Accurate casting is so important. 1. Learn how to cast to a specific target 2. Learn how to minimize your splash 3. The next cast could be "the one"
  6. Hez

    Why?

Moderated to a fault at times
  7. I learn something every time I go out on the water, whether it be details about the particular lake I'm on, a new technique or even something about myself. I always try to learn from experience. With that being said, I sight fished beds for the first time this year. This was my first time to: 1. Identify a bass bed 2. Identify a fish on that bed 3. Identify old (dead) beds that are not active any more 4. Locate spawning flats and bed locations based off of a developed pattern Sight fishing is one of the best ways to catch a giant bass here in Florida. I grew in leaps and bounds in that category this month. It always feels good to gain more knowledge and experience. He's getting big Catt...and I ain't talking about the fish
  8. I believe that means you don't have to use your hands to flush....you still have to use your hands to get the hose out!
  9. What about a largemouth bass boat????
  10. I figured that is what it was...just was not sure. Eh...I see the challenge they have there...it's not a horrible design...just different.
  11. What is on the back deck? Port side. Beautiful boat - you should be proud.
  12. Lol...he must be up late partying
  13. My thought exactly. When fishing tournaments - you learn quick that a tongue hooked fish is going be a floater in the well...pretty much guaranteed. It's part of it...
  14. IMO...YouTubers are changing the scene simply by increasing the popularity in the younger generation. I got back into fishing because of YouTube 3 years ago...and look at me now...I'm as hardcore as they get. Include a handful of friends...plus some teenagers/kids I know that fell victim to fishing via the same way (YouTube). Fishing was a dying sport...now with the help of YouTube and social media...the fishing industry is revived...along with the boating industry...and the outdoors industry in general. I think it's absolutely phenomenal
  15. You're welcome... Hopefully you figure it out and it's something simple.
  16. Let's start comparing the 2 computers. Do they both run the same operating system? Are you using the same browsers on each computer? Are you using the same version of each browser? You also may have to take into consideration your Screen size and resolution. Smaller screens will adapt whatever is being viewed to fit correctly on the screen. This could result in formatting differences.
  17. Unconfirmed reports state they recovered body of Nik Kayler on Okeechobee this morning.
  18. Unconfirmed reports state that they recovered the body of Nik Kayler on Okeechobee this morning.
  19. Power Pro - Super Slick 8 (Aqua Green) Why? The casting performance...durability...and strength. I also really like the smooth surface that this braid offers...it does increase overall performance...IMO
  20. One second...I took pictures of my manual for this motor...let me post them....it may help you. Page 3 #13: I have a 96 Mariner 175hp. This is out of the Clymer manual.
  21. If the linkage isn't right - gears won't fully engage.
  22. It's not auto...
  23. It's unbelievable. Like I told @Catt - just might have to move further south if this keeps up!
