  1. No, unfortunately the closest BPS is 200 miles from me down in Iowa.
  2. Thanks for the comments so far everyone. Can anyone describe the solid tip on the stinger shot? I live in Minnesota so I don't have a good way of seeing one of these rods in person. Overall I am leaning towards the Dobyns so far based on comments and research I've done. Also not sure how saying your willing to buy a Dobyns ($350 retail) turns into someone making a comment how money is not a problem. And you should just buy a $1200 dollar combo. I would love that combo but no way I have that kind of money to spend. Just looking to get the best I can with what I saved up.
  3. I am looking to get a new drop shot rod and looking for some advice from anyone who has the following rods. I am deciding between the Dobyns champion extreme hp 702sf and the Megabass orochi xx stinger shot or medium light drop shot. I will be using 7 lb fluoro and 1/8 - 1/4 oz drop shot weights .Any advice/recommendations would be appreciated.
  4. iabass8 do you have any input on upgrading to the champion series? I've seen you on several of these Dobyns posts and you seem like an expert in there rods.
  5. I only have one spinning setup its the 702 SF. Also should I consider upgrading my 703 fury to the 703 champion?
  6. Hey Guys, I am trying to get my rod lineup down for next season so I can be prepared to start fishing club tournaments here in Minnesota. I feel I can compete with the guys in my club and I look forward to fishing this up coming season. With that said here is what I have so far. Dobyns Champion 702SF-Drop-shot, Wacky Rigs, Spybaits Dobyns Champion 702C-Shaky-Heads, Small Top-waters Dobyns Champion 703C (I own a 703 Fury but may upgrade to the Champion) -Heavy/Thick Cover Shaky Heads, Small Jigs, Large Top-Water, Light T-Rigs, Light Carolina Rigs, Spinner Baits, Chatterbaits. small swimbaits Dobyns Champion Extreme HP 744C (own)- Jigs, Carolina Rigs, Swimbaits, Pitchin, T-Rigs, Big Worms Dobyns Champion Extreme 735C (own) - Heavy Cover: Pitchin, Flippin, Frogs, Carolina Rigs Dobyns Champion 705CB-Crank Baits, Mid-Deep Divers, Squarbills, Jerkbaits I want a versatile six rod setup and I feel like this covers it all. If any one can give me some opinions on what I have chosen and whether or not these rods will do everything I could need. I appreciate any help and insight. Thanks, Tom
  7. I am looking to replace several casting rods and am looking for some insight. I will be replacing them with either irod fiber rods or dobyns fury rods and wanted to know about people opinions of these rods? Which do people prefer and has anyone had any problems with either of these rods?
