  6. This idea for a topic came to me while browsing through loads of miscellaneous tackle at home. My question to you guys is do you prefer a jig with more contrasting colors or to match your skirt to your trailer? My take on the subject is to have a multi-colored jig with a trailer that matches your secondary color. For example I like a Black w/ blue accent pitching jig with a blue sapphire zoom chunk trailer. I switch it up though when they aren't biting or when I fish offshore football jigs. With football jigs I contrast the trailer with the skirt. Like green pumpkin with a blue trailer, or pbj with watermellon. I think it gives the bass a better look in deeper water, and looks like different forage. IDK I have a system for now but I'd like to see what you guys have to say, and what else I could try.
  7. You know Z man makes a finesse T.R.D specifically for the ned rig. It works great, and just like a skaky head because it stands right up on a jighead.
  8. Dude I feel for ya! I fish as a co-angler in my local bass club, so I have some experience fighting for bites and trying to find a limit all day. My best advice is to be super observant of your boater and how he is catching his fish. If for example he is throwing a 3/4 once football jig offshore, than you could pick up a big worm or swim bait. Don't throw the same bait as him, just fish the same water zone. I also try to scale down my presentation to catch more bass, or the more finicky fish he might of missed. Like I said, be observant and try to find something or catch on to a pattern he hasn't figured out yet, and you'll always be successful out of the back of the boat.
  9. I will a ton of crap for this but, the *** lunker frog.
  10. Nice fish! I'm a local of Lake George born and raised. Btw its not John Henry who lives in the large house on assembly point. His name is Phil Morris and he's a co owner. The LMB and SMB populations look great IMO. I caught over 10 5+ pounders this spring during the spawn and some quality 3.5 and 4 lb. smallies. The lake looks great and fishs great too!
