  1. I have both the veritas winch cranking rods. Great lightweight rods.
  2. I have bought two boats without a water test. As long as you look it over good, do a compression check and hear it run on muffs you shouldn't have any major issues. When I buy a used boat I always plan on going through the fuel system and giving everything else a through inspection.
  3. I have 10lb seaguar invizx on my medium cranking set up, and 12lb on my medium heavy cranking set up. Switched to the flouro for the added strength. I can usually pull snags right out with the 10lb. I like the seaguar red label too for cranking, slightly better abrasion resistance than the invizx.
  4. I cleaned up on the local river system with the deep model last year. Craw and shad colors. Fished on 10lb flouro they have awesome action. Musky seem to love them too, caught three while bass/walleye fishing. They deflect really well off the small round rocks in the river I fish.
  5. I just picked up my winter project on Sunday. A 95 bullet 20xd. It needs a good cleaning, carpet, and the wiring cleaned up.
  6. I fish the Wisconsin river quite a bit. Right up by the dams seems to hold more white bass, walleye, and musky. The good smallmouth fishing starts a mile or so below the dam. My favorite all around River bait is a keitech fat swing impact on a 1/8 oz jighead or a tube with a 1/4oz jighead
  7. I sell subarus for a living. The 2700 pound capacity is for a 6 cylinder model, and the trailer should really be equipped with brakes. I think your boat is definitely pushing it for an outback.
  8. Do you have any pics/info on the vacuum box?
  9. It can certainly be done. I fish out of a 1984 17' ranger. I paid 3k for it in running condition. I have spent another 3,000 on electronics, trolling motor, power pole, and rebuilding the trailer. I figure when the hull starts falling apart I can move all my electronics and trolling motor and accessories to whatever I buy next.
  10. I own both. I pick up the e6x every time over the mojo. The tapers g loomis uses seem to have a much crisper cast. They are also a better balanced Rod than the mojo.
  11. Stopped at the dsg by my work, got a few packs of senkos and hula grubs. 8.50 a pack. Still a decent deal at buy one get one.
  12. I own two g loomis rods, one current e6x, and an older imx, both 843 models. The imx is definitely more sensitive, and is lighter as well. I haven't had an issue with reel seats loosening up on either.
  13. The other option is to simply remove the decals on your non damaged cowl and order the 2016 decals.
  14. I catch a lot of river walleye on the ned rig, as well as a keitechs on plain jigheads. Suspending jerk baits can be deadly in the right conditions too.
  15. I ordered some from Siebert, the price seemed very reasonable for the quality over the zman jigs. I will post a side by side pic when I get them.
