  1. I use them quite often. I usually buy them by the 25 pack from Tackle Warehouse. I almost always wacky rig them without an o-ring. Like most other stick baits, they'll last 2-4 fish before they are thrown off the hook when fighting a fish. They catch fish just fine for me. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Big_Bite_Baits_Trick_Stick/descpage-BBBTRST.html?from=basres
  2. I mainly fish the following plastics in variants of junebug, watermelon, and green pumpkin. Zoom Super Fluke Zoom Trick Worm Yum Dinger Big Bite Baits Trick Stick
  3. I've been getting a couple of subscription boxes each month for about a year, and I've gotten them in the past. The reason that I started getting them again is because I started a new job with less time for fishing, and I thought it would be cool to have various baits sent to me monthly. The problem that I've ran into lately is that I am still buying lots of tackle because the baits i receive don't neccessarily fit my style of fishing. One box that I receive is for fly fishing, and the other is for bass fishing. I really enjoy the fly fishing box because of the variety in flies. My dilemma is that tackle warehouse doesn't necessarily sell flies that I am aware of. I still feel like I would come out better if I were to place a tackle warehouse order at the beginning of the month for the baits that I typically use during that time of the year with maybe a new bait to try and to order a few flies here and there from custom tiers.
  4. My two favorite frogs are a Booyah Pad Crasher in Bullfrig and a Scum Frog Trophy Series in Watermellon Red.
  5. I caught this one on a 6'6" medium with 20 lb braid on a Stanley Ribbet.
  6. They were really munching the frogs yesterday. This one ate a Stanley Ribbet about 3 feet from shore. The blowup splashed water on me and nearly gave me a heart attack.
  7. I fish 1/4 oz frogs often on a medium action spinning rod with 20lb braid in really thick grass mats. You should be okay with your setup. Just lose the mono leader.
  8. It is. There's an abundance of them in the local creeks and smaller rivers.
  9. Went down to a small local creek that I used to fish all of the time and caught some beautiful sunfish on a rooster tail.
  10. Caught my first bowfin in a few years at a pond that I've been fishing at for over a year. I didn't even know that they were in there. He absolutely crushed the whooper plopper. I had to replace the rear treble and split ring because of him.
  11. I've been seeing beds here for the past month in smaller ponds.
  12. Was finally able to hit the water after a near 10 day hiatus (Got married and went on honeymoon).
  13. My pick would be: Berkley Lighting Shock Rod 7' MH $40-50 Lew's American Hero Speed Spool 7.1:1 $60 30-50lb Powerpro $13 Booyah Pad Crasher or Poppin Pad Crasher $6
  14. Rat-L-Trap and Super Spot for me, but all I do is a simple cast and retrieve with those baits.
  15. Caught several small ones today including two beautifully colored ones on the super fluke. I caught 13 on the fluke and 1 on the jig in a little over an hour.
