  1. have you tried getting a bass to talk to you by the way?
  2. I imagine a bass having a voice similar to Joe Swanson from family guy
  3. why the hell aren't you thirty ponds, yo? Eat a sandwich!
  4. essentially, yes. ive never owned a chronarch but have played around with one and have heard they are great. The one I looked at was solid. Whatever reel you buy, try to find one and test it out first instead of just ordering online based on what others say.
  5. I'd also like to know this. By the way "fish stick", if you do some research there are ways to fish certain flies such as a dry fly on spinning gear that you can learn and apply to the fly fishing forums to make you a better spinning gear trout fisherman.
  6. mostly with another or others for me but sometimes alone.
  7. glad you're having some luck! Hopefully I'm right behind you as I'm trying to get more into finesse fishing
  8. Alright, thanks for the tips everybody. I think I'll maybe do 10LB copolymer, as braid seems not to be the way to go, which is fine by me. Jut means I'll be saving ten bucks in line! Plus I've never tried copolymer but have heard a lot of good stuff about it! As far as a reel goes, I'll probably avoid the president, as this isn't the first time I've heard about it creating line issues (my dad used to own one and got wind knots and birdnests all the time) Maybe I'll look into a Mitchell 300, I've loved those reels from just trying them out in-store. Either that or a Shimano probably. As far as a rod goes, I'm thinking a mojo bass, but I'm gonna play with that rod and some others a little more first.
  9. I need a spinning setup specifically for weightless worms, wacky and t-rig mostly. What'd be the best weight line to buy for this setup? (I mostly use braid, but I'll take mono suggestions as well) Also, what'd be the best leader line weight? Also, while I'm at it, what reel would you suggest in the 50 dollar range?
  10. TAKE THE DEAL!
  11. Go to Dick's in the wintertime. They have a large selection and put it ALL on sale usually to clean out for the spring stock, at least at my local location.
  12. The Carbon Fire and the Laser MG are two VERY different reels. I've never used the laser but can tell you the carbon fire is an AMAZING baitcaster for 80 bucks. I've never had problems with it. check the reviews online. The CF gets great reviews while the Laser MG gets mostly bad ones.
  13. nice short little video, Glenn! Did anyone see that fish jump at around fifty five seconds in the background by the way?
  14. welcome!
  15. I'm just going to comment "No" for the second time just to properly establish my answer to this question.
  16. Wow, possibly one of the best bass stories I have ever heard! Glad you got your rod back and got rewarded for your persistence!
  17. Wow! Amazing vid! I'm going out to my honey hole tomorrow, will post results!
  18. I wouldn't go weightless on a plastic here around those pads. Maybe throw a big weight on one and punch into the pads. either that or a hollow body.
  19. gamakatsu's are always good but probably more expensive than Mustad or Eagle Claw. VMC makes good hooks.
