  3. Thanks again guys!!
  4. Thanks guys!! Toledo, I used to be the same way. I became a fan of the spook jr a couple of years ago. The bass wouldn't touch a sammy, but was all over the spook jr. They just have a different sound.
  5. The topwater bite is in full swing and I got a bunch of spooks to paint. Made up a few new colors as I went. Tied a few of the custom feathered trebles on a couple of them. Also carved my first bait of the year, The Joker Shad. I have a Ranger shirt with a bait sort of this color. I added a few details to it. Painted on a fullsize zara spook. Cherry Sparkle... With a custom feathered treble. Frog...With a custom feathered treble. Chartreuse Perch Bluegill Chartreuse Crappie My first carved bait this year....Joker Shad painted in Threadfin Shad, Carved from basswood.

  12. Thanks guys!! I have to give credit to my good friend Husky on TU, for sharing the tutorial with everyone. It was great of him and Gene to pass this on to others. Getting your blending right is what makes them come to life. There was a lot of time behind the airbrush, before I finally got the look I was after. I still try to learn something new, every time I am out in the shop!!
  13. Thanks again guys for the kind words!!
