  1. I like the purple accents with the red...gives it flavor. Not having all the colors match can look good...look at the ito.
  2. Well...under filling could explain the excessive coiling. I say don't overfill, but I do like them to the brim on my casting outfits.
  3. Line jumping off the spool usually occurs with over filling the spool, so make sure you aren't overfilled. Sniper is just so soft to me...it sounds like you are battling 25 lb cxx
  4. That thing looks like it could hold $100 worth of tats
  5. This is the rod I would recommend. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/h2o-xpress-ethos-7-mh-freshwater-casting-rod
  6. I also looked at that rod from ffo. Nice to read some reviews on it. I thought the grip did look short.
  7. I throw everything ...I just named a special one.
  8. Zoom tapp.
  9. The lifetime transferable warranty loomis provides is worth $500 alone. When my great grandson breaks the glx I pass on to him, he will get a brand spanking new one. Almost doesn't seem right.
  10. Code 11spring16 will get you 11% off your order at monster also. Can't combine with email setup, but if you spend over $250 you'll save more money.
  11. ISG. Good plastic/consistent tails.
  12. Here's my damage from the outdoor pro shop gloomis sale. 2 southern 783's (mbr844glx's), nrx 843, 893, and 894. 783s glx
  13. I'm probably the only person on the planet that still uses rod wrap, but it caters to my ocd. I will go to great lengths to keep my cork chalky new, and changes the condition from 'used' to 'lightly used' if I decide to sell it.
  14. I've used it...it's as advertised. It was $50 though, and it was a few years ago
  15. 12lb crystal clear cxx. I will go to 15lb in trees, but I prefer them on 12 for depth.
  16. It was nice when berkley used to include these with their spools of trilene
  17. I have 4 of the 6'9"ml cranking rods. I picked up two when tw put them on sale, and liked them enough to pick up two more a month later. Hard to find a ml/mod rod that isn't a buggy whip. This is a crisp rod that will fling little baits a long way but also has quite a bit of power. I think it's a special rod in that flavor, but it's the only model I've held/fished.
  18. Very nice, but my OCD would never allow that kind of variety.
  19. My 844's came in. You can tell these were drop shipped...it doesn't look like a human hand had ever touched them. Those handlers must wear latex gloves. I now have one rod with a palm print
  20. Pretty simple. It doesn't matter if we're talking about a rod or a stick...both are going to have a neutral balance point, and logic tells you that's where to put the fulcrum (your hand/reel seat in this case).
  21. I'd put the tat on your Flippin' stick. The tatula weighs 1.6 ounces more than the ci4+, and that extra weight will help balance out that 954.
  22. MB ARMS Super Legera. I plan on picking up the steez ags 7'6"H when the funds allow , and it seems like a bargain compared to the Leggera.
  23. What are you going to use this rod for? I owned the regular cbr 783 for a while and thought it was too whippy. Loved my 845 though. The glx will be more crisp though I imagine.
  24. https://www.*.com/G-Loomis-Rods-MBR844C-GLX-p/gloomis-rod-mbr844c-glx.htm
  25. You mght try checking the reviews for it on bps's or cabelas site. My only suggestion...
