  1. The reel seat is very reminiscent of the red seat on the old JDM orochii XX. It looks nice, and I Iike the 3/8-3/4oz bait rating on the 610M...similar to the old Loomis spinnerbait rod.
  2. Yeah...I had read that about Daiwas blanks. You have to differentiate them somehow. New '25 Tat cork model lists an SVF blank minus the nano. This Kage probably shares the Tat elite blank, but the Kage makes use of the sensor seat.
  3. The second gen (B medel) was just released....very sharp looking rods. These feature SVF Nanoplus blanks, and I'm not sure how they fit in with the Tat Elites and Rebellion lines. I do know I want the 6'10"M jerbait rod though 🙉.
  4. I'm looking to label some boxes for my non-boater bag, but I'm thinking of doing it differently. On yours, I bet after a trip or two, you reach for the 'long name', the 'short name' etc ....not needing to read the label. I'm thinking some colored dots may work, or a similar quick reference system.
  5. Picked up more Mycena hair/silicone hybrid finesse jigs from Ali-X. Very sharp hooks on these. They come in 7g and 10g.
  6. One of my camera lenses is shattered, but I managed a couple shots of my rods and boxes. I store plastics in the thin Rubbermaid tubs.
  7. Yes...they fit snug and I don't pull them apart generally.
  8. Here is a pic of one of my Poison glorious rods. You can see just how far the blank goes in the handle. The blank doesn't run tip to butt in an effort to shed weight.
  9. I have the OG solid orange concept z. They have been great. Sad to hear people say the current offerings aren't up to par. Building a reel brand is tough. 13 did it, and I hope Rapala brings the Concept series back to their former glory.
  10. Yes it is the double wide beaver. I don't have any 4.2" beavers to give you a comparison pick.
  11. Season/conditions dictate my choice. Trending pitching baits are: Tubes and RI 5.2" beaver.
  12. That's rough. The position you are in has made me think of you and how I would handle it also. Hope to see you posting new rods next year.
  13. I can only speak for shimano and some daiwa grip joint rods, and they have a sleeve. I'm not sure on that daiwa sensor seat. Not for sure, but I bet it is a sleeve, and I bet the blank doesn't go all the way through the handle. That is how my Poison Glorious rods are.
  14. Even the 'exposed blank' grip joint rods don't really have an exposed blank. It's a sleeve that runs through the handle that is exposed. IMO...exposed, blank through design is one of the reasons Loomis stays at the top. The 173 would do well with frogs I imagine...I just don't throw frogs very often.
  15. I have 173H ST. I do wish the reel seat had a partially exposed, blank-through design. It's sensitive, but I think they left meat on the bone. 13 bills for one is too much f or sure.
  16. I have that rod. Really like it in the prespawn when I'm trying to get some distance with a 2" flatside. . Imx-pro cbr's are the best crankbait rods Loomis has ever made.
  17. Old TD Hi1 and 2 were great. I had the 2 around '91. Pretty slick Td1 hi on ebay right now.
  18. Sierra Trading is the spot to find bargain sunglasses. They have some good cheaper brands (O'neil/Timberland, etc) as well as the pricey brands. https://www.sierra.com/mens-sunglasses~d~9811/
  19. I agree that it is easier to browse online. Maybe if they stopped producing the catalog, they could offer competitive pricing. Just a thought...
  20. After getting a game plan together with my doctors, I'd book a week long trip to lake Baccarac.
  21. I will definitely mention you in my prayer. I pray you live long enough for AI to take hold and start curing these diseases. Experts say AI will start curing cancers/diseses at a rapid rate. You got this.
  22. Fishing a pond or creek on foot is how I started and still my favorite way to enjoy the sport. I just don't have the great spots I used to have. Google earth is great...I've been spot hunting.
  23. Howdy from Tulsa!
  24. Bandit 100 and 200 will always work. The Bandit 200 was even copied by some custom balsa makers.
