  1. Okay I know I've been spamming this thread with glide baits but I'm beyond stoked about this one. I was able to get my hands on a Kurouto Real Greed 230, this monster is 9" and 5oz I took the hooks off because they were a bit rusted but man is this thing beautiful. The only issue is it doesn't fit into my glide bait box. and here is it compared to a 6" spro bbz-1 so you can see how massive it is
  2. i use the off season to stock up, replenish anything missing and buy more stuff i don't necessarily need but really want anyway. the good thing is that at least thinking this way you can take advantage of some sales if you start early enough
  3. thank you , it was just for fun but turned out not too bad
  4. i actually like the arashi though i find its decent and can you really beat a squarebill for $3
  5. That was another issue I saw was they were too pricey for a lipless one knocker when a red eye one knocker is around 7
  6. Bassresource, lake fork guy and keepinitreel
  7. I have a couple and like them a bit but to me they can be replaced. To me they are just a different sounding one knocker, just a bit of a different than an xrk75
  8. The glides we painted turned out pretty good really happy now that the epoxy is cured, it really shows off the colour better.
  9. Some of my glide baits finally came in, there are more to come but the collection is growing. I also have blanks my girlfriend and I painted but I will post those once the epoxy cures.
  10. i think it encourages it more so, the regulations are basically there because the province doesn't want to have to pay for officers to patrol. They think if they have a ton of rules people will just follow them plus that way they can have a higher pay for anyone who is working. Obviously i can tell you it is completely backwards and doesn't actually work. there is a lake by my house where every single day regardless of season there are people who throw everything they catch into a bucket. I will guarantee it is not the only on either, Lake Ontario has a salmon run that happens around the middle to end of October which is a closed season and illegal to fish, yet it still gets fished because no one gets ticketed.
  11. Do not go by Canada's fishing laws, specifically in Ontario they are ridiculous and extremely outdated. We have a bass season that ranges from the beginning of july to the end of november, that leaves basically 3 months where the water is thawed that we are unable to fish. Their reasoning behind this is because of the spawn. To me that just shows a lack of knowledge about what actually happens under the water. catching a fish off of a bed and releasing it doesnt mean all of the eggs are eaten. This week there is news that they are also trying to regulate it even more, including saying that the ministry can just tell everyone they cant fish somewhere for an extended period of time. Not to mention that there are basically no offices to enforce anything in Ontario. there are 3622 employees in Ontario, While the whole MnR has a budget of 731 million dollars. Personally i would much rather have the regulations of MI, NY, IL all of which are parallel if not further north than parts of Ontario
  12. so what you're telling me is that if im throwing a smallmouth swimbait it should be 5" or 9"
  13. that is absolutely gorgeous dude, if that were a right hand reel i would be all over that
  14. search with a jerkbait, once you locate the fish i would throw a 3/8oz football jig if they're not eating the jerkbait that is. the other option is to throw a hudd and go a slow as humanly possible once it hits bottom
  15. depends on the depth for me, i use the regular 3700 for squarebills, crankbait medium for medium-deep divers and a crankbait deep for anythin that dives 15'+
  16. thank you, my girl was really happy about that one it's one of hers, the only thing i am thinking now is do i really want to throw them
  17. Thanks I just took my time with it
  18. So I got an airbrush about a week ago to paint some blanks. These are the results, the first 2 were painted by me, the 2nd too were painted by my girlfriend
  19. siebert outdoors dredge brush
  20. yes definitely replace the bearing i can tell you from experience having a bearing go on the highway is not fun
  21. if it were me i wouldn't want an sv spool for throwing crankbaits. yes they can throw lighter baits with ease the issue i see is that they are a shallower spool, on a crankbait you want the most casting distance possible. obviously this needs you need more line which would mean a deeper spool. take a look at a lews tournament mg if you can find it, or a shimano curado200pg
  22. i have a couple gantarels, a couple mattlure gills, a lucky craft real bluegill 155 really having a hard time not picking up a mattlures hardgill though
  23. This may be because I've been reading spoonplugging too much, but focus more on where you are fishing rather than the bait. Once you know location, time of year and depth you can effectively choose a bait based on that. personally i would go out with the following T-Rigged plastic beaver or worm depends on the depth and cover squarebill or deep crank again depending on depth and cover and a big swimbait or glidebait which again can change depending on the depth of the fish
  24. if it's something i've already fishing it would be my home lake, it's currently 2+ hours away but i love it with all my heart and one day i will live there anyway
  25. this would likely depend on lake as to weather it is included in the base map though which you can check in the link on the page
