  1. if it were about sunlight they would be spawning in my local pond already which they definitely aren't with the recent cold weather they are still in a winter-spring transition
  2. i've never fished out of ontario so it's basically the biggest which was above 6
  3. exactly what i came to say, conditions can change and with it so will the bite. I think most of us here are only fishing for fun so don't be so worried about catching fish and just enjoy your time on the water.
  4. normally a space monkey or a ribbon tail
  5. i don't know i wouldn't mind getting rid of this darn monkey instead of just temporarily distracting him
  6. just rig up a punch rig or maybe buzz some plastics across the surface that is what i found to work in those situations.
  7. he's just going through an emo phase
  8. i dont think you would have an issue doing this from the bank you might just have to tie a leader on to fish jigs if your main line is braid
  9. i'll have to make sure they dont then maybe i will wait until it's a little warmer and i can get out in a boat
  10. i think i'm going to pick 2 up this week they just look so good
  11. 1 lc slender pointer 1 live target golden shiner lipless 1 strike king rage blade this is all while bank fishing i think it will decrease when i'm in a boat. luckily i haven't lost any of my big baits yet though
  12. ima pinjack 200
  13. last year it was a spook but i'm going to be throwing frogs and buzzbaits a lot more this year
  14. maybe this season and next season
  15. i think the jays might have something to say about that
  16. i remember when i was younger panfish would love the gulp swimming mullet chanteuse or orange always worked
  17. they are they are straight shank flipping hooks sorry i should have asked what you meant
  18. i thought you meant something like this as a straight shank the red one you pictured are normally called worm hooks
  19. i'm no expert but personally what i have found is the following Straight Shank: Pros: you can snell the hook have a bait keeper baits can still be texas rigged have a better hookup ratio (this might just be me) Cons: have to check your bait to make sure hook point hasn't come through can destroy plastics bait doesn't always sit straight Wide Gap: Pros: bait is pretty much always weedless easy to rig bait sits in a straight line dont go through as many baits Cons: not the best hook up ratio (this might just be me) you cannot snell the hook no bait keeper (though you can buy some with)
  20. i just bought a bass pro one i'm going to replace the line with 65lb braid and put it on an old reel
  21. i'm pretty sure they are mainly walleye baits
  22. no probably not i'm happy with the chatterbaits i have already
  23. realistically though the blade is going to catch a lot of weeds as well not just the hook
  24. thought i would add some updated pics of my tackle that has grown far to much in the off season i picked up some storm twitch sticks and some kvd deep jerkbaits last night. Frogs/Buzzbaits Topwater/Jerkbaits Cranks Jigs/Bladed Jigs Big Baits Big Baits 2
