i talked myself out of buying a team kvd 6'10" frog rod yesterday, magic i know

i dont have to deal with other fishermen very much mainly i am dealing with crowds in the form of other boat traffic like tubers, water skiers that kind of thing it doesnt bother me i have the fishing mainly to myself just need to try and find somewhere im not going to get thrown into the bank

i rarely use snaps but when i'm using a wire leader i don't really have a choice i have to fish them sometimes because of the pike

i'm going to go the other way here and say try them rigged on a keitech model 3 swim jig or as a bladed jig trailer

I just decided to organize everything when I got home and these are all the bags of pit bosses and a few other things to go in a new soft plastic bag

Went to Canadian tire this morning and picked up 11 bags of pit bosses for $26 3 lime purple passion 3 sapphire blue 4 vampire orange 1 plum

pretty standard i waited a month and sent multiple emails before anything was even shipped

Rice has been heavily pressured for a long time you can fish it but i have only heard bad things about it

that's pretty funny i like that

there was a portion of the lake that was thawed but last weekend made that pretty solid again, guess i'll keep waiting.

i'm sure it was the skip ones but go for it i'm not trying to say they are a bad product at all i just found a t-rig had a better hookup but those are a little hard to skip

i don't think it's worth it. the reason most people trim spinnerbait skirts is because of short strikes (at least that's what i think) for chatterbaits most people (if not everyone) uses trailers so there wouldn't really be a point

okay so i walked through my local BPS today and saw some lvingston b viper swimbaits now it's pretty obvious they are supposed to be glide baits (similar profile to a hinkle shad) i was wondering if anyone has ever used them i saw a couple of reviews on TW and one said they loved it the other said he has had problems with multiple baits. has anyone here used them or know anyone that has one?

Gamakatsu Offset Round Bend in 3/0 and 4/0 for all of my senkos or stick worms

i have used them but ultimately didn't like them the hookup wasn't really improved at all and i would rather just use a t-rig which provided a bigger gap for hooking up than the collapsing bait keeper. as for skipping i never tried to skip them so i can't help there

why not just put a splitshot inside the frog

chatterbaits are one of my favourite baits to throw i agree with bluebasser in this they are definitely fished more like a squarebill to me they are so alike that i fish them on the same rod a moderate action rod instead of a fast action rod like a jig i find them to be similar because it's all about feeling vibration, when you don't feel the vibration you may have grass on the hook or the bait is in a fishes mouth. i have found i hook up a lot more with a moderate action than a fast action rod

a few ties from yesterday gp and orange craw on a 3/16oz shakey head. made with guinea fowl feathers for the claws olive deer body hair and a copper and blue chenille for flash. i also made a blue and orange craw with blue and orange guinea fowl feathers for the claws, grey deer body hair with some polar bear on the bottom. a bluegill swimjig with copper feathers some black pearl and uv chenille for the body and some copper and blue chenille for the finish. my favourite one is a nice bluegill swim jig with copper feathers and blue and orange guinea fowl feathers

the feathered treble is pretty big and i think i used too much feather but it's on a 5.5" 2.25oz crank and the jig was just something i did when i got home from work in about 15 min it's feather and black bear

nope definitely not we need to see what the boat chimp talked him into i picked up some round ball head jigs today that i will be trying to tie some bucktail on later this weekend i have to make a stop at a shop to pick up some hair but it should be fun i'm going to go simple first then try to do a little more i already have a feathered treble i made for a big crank i just picked up and i grabbed 2 packs of Jackall Archelons last night
