  1. ya the micro guides are likely going to be a problem i would give a blood knot a try first tactical bassin has a really good video on tying it
  2. i would get some i see if i can measure it with a tool i have but it's a little difficult to get up here for the same price
  3. not exactly a pic but a couple from this year, the last fish hooked was a 4.16 the sd card was close to full and stopped recording halfway through the fight also not trying to promote myself here just thought this was a little cooler than a picture
  4. you will get a ton of different opinions on this one i know tom is a fan
  5. thank you i really appreciate it
  6. if you dont want it would you be willing to let me know who offered it to you
  7. only time i worry about line colour is in super clear water i throw braid on pretty much everything except jigs and cranks and that's mainly because im bound to come into contact with some rocks and i'd rather not have so many baits lost. i do use hi vis yellow on 2 rods and that's so i can see the line dont get so caught up on line colour just worry about the area you are fishing in first then if you know they are there worry about bait and last should be line
  8. i would go with a bait like the duo realis onimasu or a matt lures hardgill maybe the trash fish or a jsj hitch
  9. that's awesome man i would love to go down to lake fork one day my gf and i have decided to take our honeymoon in florida so i think you guys know what that means anyway i hope you have an awesome time down at lake fork and i think i can speak for everyone when i say we expect a lot of pictures
  10. i would be curious to see if it was a largemouth smallmouth hybrid
  11. The savage gear one is fine I have never had an issue with it
  12. i have been catching pike on 50 lb braid with no issues i wouldn't go lower than that
  13. unseen for sure just by shear numbers, i have caught a lot more fish that i haven't seen than ones i have unless we are including topwater in which case it might be close. but i am the same i saw a bass take my jig last week and set the hook far too quickly
  14. i don't really remember i will check this weekend for you
  15. yes i do i have actually had a few days where i caught 5+ fish on them as well as the deep version. i really like the prism colours, which i know are mainly to attract me not so much the fish but they have done well for me at a small local place with clearish water (more of a reservoir type lake) but i have caught decent largemouth and smallmouth on them
  16. @Attila any changes to the rod lineup that you are aware of?
  17. definitely a frog i think i caught more fish on a frog this year than in my entire life and it was all because i didn't wait to set the hook
  18. Personally if you want one rod i would say look at the Dobyn's fury series they are great rods for the price i have a 765 flip and absolutely love it. it's a 7'6" rod rated for 1/4 oz to 2 oz if you go the 2 rod route I would suggest a spinning rod or a medium fast baitcaster for weightless senkos and then a heavier rod for the s waver and whopper plopper i have had a great experience with the bass pro bionic blade 7'6" h/mf. The rod is weighted for 1-4 oz which will be good when you want to branch into even bigger baits, which trust me will happen and it's $80. now i have used a cheaper rod to throw baits up to 2 oz when it's only rated to 1.5 oz and it holds up fine but it very much will depend on the build and it's not always recommended to do.
  19. if you put the bait over the eye of the hook and put a toothpick or some 40 lb mono through the bait and the eye of the hook it should stay
  20. got something in the mail from a member yesterday really stoked to throw this
  21. look at my picture above yours you slide your finger into the gill plate which will force them to open their mouth so you can unhook them normally i use pliers so i dont cut myself because they do shake a lot
  22. any experience with the 7'6" catt?
  23. that's awesome man congrats
  24. i found an old school rogue jerkbait
