  1. if you cant get anything from daiwa or anywhere else you can order one from hedgehog studios as a bit of an upgrade
  2. i agree with @NYWayfarer i have pulled up branches and haven't broken one off the only time i did was when i accidentally left a trd on the hook for a couple weeks and it snapped when stuck on a branch
  3. yep definitely looks like a bluegill
  4. If i had braid for my frogging and flipping i would be fine with yo-zuri hybrid and big game on the rest of my reels
  5. berkley chigger has been the standout craw, the hula sticks was the standout finesse bait both on a ned and a drop shot. standout hardbait has been the dt10 in bluegill for sure with the red eye shad in yellow perch a close second
  6. thank you that is exactly what i wanted to hear
  7. look for a used lexa 300 even just a tatula 100 will work
  8. that's what im saying the rod and reel are the same so that isn't the issue the only difference would be the weight and the design of the bait i have found that because the spro's are made of a harder material they are more likely to keep their shape during flight and be less effected by wind
  9. why shouldn't it the bait weighs less than the spro
  10. the tackle warehouse profile may tell you if he is on there
  11. i'm also curious about this. do they normally go on sale at tackle warehouse?
  12. normally grab a bag of cajun flavored trail mix before i leave and a few bottles of water
  13. be patient i know it sucks but the squarebills are on the way personally i would be fishing the south shore near allandale around here https://www.google.ca/maps/place/44°22'29.6"N+79°41'02.3"W/@44.374889,-79.6845142,145m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m19!1m12!4m11!1m3!2m2!1d-79.6839775!2d44.3748892!1m6!1m2!1s0x882abcc57c738251:0x3fed8fb1af4f59fd!2sBarrie,+Ontario!2m2!1d-79.6814322!2d44.3744254!3m5!1s0x0:0x0!7e2!8m2!3d44.3748892!4d-79.6839667
  14. no problem that's kind of what i look to do you just make it about fishing which is what it should be
  15. personally im not so concerned with talking about what gear im using in a video. I learn more from watching what they are doing not talking about how great a certain lure is. To me when you start talking about gear it becomes more of a promotion than a video of your latest catch personally i really like the way @A-Jay does his videos
  16. wish i could take advantage of this but they dont ship to canada
  17. the fury series has different handles the sb models which are the 795sb and the 806sb both have full eva grips. every other rod in the fury lineup has a split cork and eva handle
  18. Tackle warehouse has them on sale right now I think they are about 45 Little stop on the way up tonight picked up something I've wanted to try for a while now
  19. not to hijack the thread but do you mind sharing any you have seen or was it just an in person thing?
  20. I fish out of a mirrocraft f3614 which is a deep v aluminum boat, the length is 14' and beam is 63". I stand on the seats currently and can balance well enough even in rough water with all the wake and pleasure boats. I am planning on putting a casting deck on either this winter or early in the spring. don't be afraid of using a little boat they can definitely handle it but they may require a little more work. I would do as others said and get the widest bottom you can that's the most important thing for stability
  21. I dont really think there is any real way to lower the chances. anything a bass would eat a pike or musky would easily eat too but i have found pike tend to strike a bait rather than inhale it like bass do
  22. you need to resize the pics just use tiny pic and select the message board size. Personally I would take a look at tinboats.net too you may be able to find a build of the same model as your boat there
  23. awesome work gary maybe one day i will get you to do something for me maybe a nice jig rod
  24. depends on the cranks you are throwing i would definitely look at the veritas winch series they have done a very good job for me this year or even the bps crankin' stick no personal experience but i've heard good things about them
