  1. Plastic: Strike King KVD 2.5 Xcalibur XCS200 Wood: Bagley Balsa B2
  2. this is pushing me towards garmin as well (striker plus 5cv) also seeing that they bought navionics you may be able to upload the maps so they can add them into the navionics card as well.

  7. ya i know my home lake is just fairly small so its not on navitronics so i need a unit capable of mapping it

  10. garmin is coming out with the striker plus which is the striker plus quick draw which may potentially go on sale for a certain day
  11. they are very different baits as dink said, the bullshad is a multi jointed swimbait which has a quicker swimming action with some body roll and the suicide glide will have a wide gliding action kind of like its just wandering back and forth slowly.
  12. personally i can't get enough of the rapala dt series, they just catch fish for me, but i would also look at some red eye shads like everyone else has mentioned as well as the kvd squarebills and the spro little johns. Personally the cranking bug bit me hard this year, a crankbait bite is addicting i see why kvd cant stop throwing them now. my list would be the following Shallow: sk kvd 1.5 bagley balsa b2 booyah streak Mid: lucky craft rto 2.5dd rapala dt10 strike king red eye shad deep: spro little john dd rapala dt 16/20 strike king 6xd
  13. 40s jerkbait 50s jig 60s bladed jig 70s squarebills / spooks 80s frogs / flipping 90s deep cranks / ribbon tail
  14. im in if we do
  15. i would go with the 894 it should excel in the 3/8oz -1/2oz range which really you will be throwing most of the time with jigs care to elaborate?
  16. i prefer a mid to fast ratio have used a 6.4:1 for the first half of last year and a 7.1:1 for the 2nd half i found the 7.1:1 to be a better reel for the application
  17. im trying to fight the bait monkey off until black friday hopefully i can controll everything in my tw cart until then
  18. i know you may be set on costa but is it really worth spending $250 on a pair of sunglasses that dont fit you properly, if the blokes are at least comfortable then maybe consider getting them in prescription too
  19. keep it simple black/blue, green pumpkin and a white, i throw a paddle tail 80% of the time the other 20 % is a rage menace rigged vertically try a blue sapphire trailer for a bluegill coloured bait
  20. what about the weed to rock transition there just to the left, on the other side of the boat ramp the depth changes pretty rapidly is it still super weedy?
  21. planning on fishing jigs really slow this weekend and i'm out of my usual siebert footballs so i had to get something to use this weekend figured i'd try tungsten and then maybe i will be ordering tungsten footballs from siebert this winter and some kvd chunks because i want to try them out
