  1. i use an abu garcia vendetta 7'6" H/F but i would suggest a dobyns fury 735c i think most will agree that 7'3" is the best all around length since it gives you a little more distance when pitching, as well as a little more leverage over the fish.
  2. have to start with a budget first of all as well as an ideal length
  3. got myself a little something to help with my organization of tackle
  4. Started re organizing and labeling all my boxes
  5. likely due to hypothermia if they were in the water all night
  6. wow i guess i have caught a fish that is equal to a 10lb FLMB
  7. nice little package from siebert came to the office today also picked up another 3700 plano to hold all the new footballs. i think i should be good for at least a year. have to say mike these new colours are awesome
  8. hello fellow Ontarian
  9. jigging spoon (if you have them) yo-yo a lipless, drop a tube (smallest you have), ned rig
  10. roughly 6+ inches of ice on my home lake already never really ice fished though i might try this year. if i can brave the -30 degree temps
  11. same basically practice pitching a lot, as well as re organizing tackle and watching old tournaments (drives my gf crazy when i do it all at once)
  12. i actually just use the go pro software but i haven't been doing it very long
  13. i definitely want to get some bulk trebles i want to replace the hooks an all my cranks
  14. thanks for organizing deak looking forward to next year
  15. it's hard to pick just one but if i had to i think it would have to be the spro bronze eye poppin' frog. Not much beats a good frog bite. except maybe when they're knocking slack in your line to get a crankbait, in which case i agree with @fishballer06 DT's are a go to.
  16. the frogs are nice cant really comment on the fluro though
  17. main reasons are sensitivity and weight. go to your local shop and feel the difference in weight between a $100 rod and a $400 rod
  18. yes they are most of the reviews say the guides break all the time and multiple rods snap below the tip
  19. I'm going to bet say 25 is just more rods of a certain manufacturer that are known to break on sale even more
  20. depending on the rod and what baits you're throwing. i would use 20-25 lb co poly for glides and hard swimbaits, i use p line c21. for my hudds i throw 65 lb power pro and a 20 lb cxx leader
  21. My goals for the winter are to finish reading spoon plugging. my goals for the spring are to get a striker plus and map my lake. Finally my goals for the fishing season is to try and get more comfortable with jerkbaits, drop shots and tubes while still getting out on the water as much as possible
  22. i say we all go down to texas and fish falcon
  23. a couple baits i would definitely start with would be savage gear shine glide 7" river 2 sea s-waver 168 huddleston 68 special rof 12 jenko booty shaker (tw has the 7" version for 3.99 for a two pack) rigged on a 10/0 owner beast hook
  24. what kind of swimbaits are you looking at? bigger swimbaits like hudds, trash fish and glide baits?
