  1. okay guys i picked up a couple glide bait blanks to try my hand at painting, i was curious what colours you guys would paint these. I'm kinda stuck between a couple ideas and need some ***. i was thinking a bluegill pattern for the smaller glide which is about 5.5" i really dont know what to do for the second blank, i was thinking bone with brown fins but im not sold on the idea what do you guys think it's roughly 7.25" this was my idea about bone and brown maybe a little silver on the top half
  2. sunline sniper is my favourite normally throw 16 lb braid to an 8lb fluro leader
  3. yep still in the same old green a white building. the prices are better than anything else i have found planos are $2-3 cheaper on average, the only place i can find norman dd22's which are only $7, they even had an old stock of xclibur xrk75's which i bought them out of a while ago
  4. those are beautiful
  5. i have a bionic blade 7'6" h that i throw some glidebaits on i have no problems with it, i also have no problems with me graphite series rod
  6. are you sure? i think we all need more big baits
  7. 25.99 im actually on my way home before they open they have a threadfin metallic ayu and pearl ayu left
  8. no they dont, they do have bull gills and the 4x4
  9. no on the way to the lake, did you want one?
  10. neither a place north of orillia called ellwood epps
  11. stopped on the way up north last night at my favourite local shop, passed up on an i-slide 185 in ugui. but i did pick up a lucky craft real ayu 178 i think the chartreuse tail looks pretty awesome with the ayu pattern.
  12. personally i wouldn't be throwing hudds and frogs on the same rod. hudds are going to require a bit more weight than a frog will. especially considering once you start you are going to want to throw the 8" too. are you sure you cant fit anything longer? the dobyns fury 806sb is a great rod for hudds. what rod were you planning on getting?
  13. good luck man catch some big ones
  14. personally i found the HB a little confusing to use, im sure it would be fine after a while but i find the garmin units easier to operate
  15. are you talking about the yum money minnow? if not can you post a pic of what the bait is
  16. got my rapala concept ti which i paired with my t3 ballistic so stoked to throw jerkbaits on this thing. i also got a few colour parts from a fellow member so my tatula has gotten a bit of an upgrade
  17. Glide Bait bug has been biting hard i will post pics when i get them in but i have ordered a gan craft jointed claw 178, savage gear shine glide 7" which is being custom painted in a yellow perch pattern, a duel hardcore ninja glider and 4 glide bait blanks that i intend to try my hand at painting. EDIT: So my birthday is Saturday and we decided to celebrate tonight, my gf and parents went a little overboard. My amazing girlfriend got me a Rapala Canada Concept Ti basically the highest end rod rapala canada makes, it's a 6'4" M/XF which will be used for poppers and jerkbaits. i have paired it with my t3 ballistic and some 40lb j-braid. Then there are my parents, they know that i have been saving for a garmin striker plus 5cv so the decided to surprise me and pick one up, i cannot explain how stoked i am to be able to install this and map my whole lake.
  18. definitely following this thread now can't wait to see how it turns out
  19. got into cranking a lot more last season i really want to focus on glide bait and jigs this year. so i'll probably have a few days of just throwing my glidebaits and swimbaits, 2 rods in the boat and a big net think that sounds like a pretty good time on the water. considering im going to take 2 weeks off from work and just be up north where i can fish everyday i will have more than enough time to dial in some techniques
  20. people have different coloured eyes and so do bass its all genetic
  21. spro little john dd in cell mate
  22. that's why we buy them, but there is always that little voice that says what if you lose it.
  23. glue around the eye and heat shrink around the hooks and slide it slightly into the frog kind of like the did with the bully wa 2
  24. my mom who has been free of Hodgkin's lymphoma for 20 years now, my aunt who had breast cancer. as well as one of my dad's groomsman who we lost a year to stomach cancer. He is the one who inspired me to fish the most, last time i saw him i showed him a glide bait and he thought it was the coolest thing in the world.
  25. i keep 90% of my soft plastics in boxes, but i have some extra bags of baits that i keep for bank fishing. its just easier to grab a couple bags of soft plastics and throw them in a backpack than another plano
