  1. z-man trick shotz or strike king dream shot
  2. what likely happens is the bass in these ponds are used to feeding on gills and smaller bait fish that are eating plankton and alike that live in the vegetation. without that vegetation the food sources might change or be harder to find for these fish, they will likely end up on some off shore structure, or roaming the banks which is what i see at a local place
  3. i agree i use my ml much more than my medium i throw a lot of drop shots and tubes on it my medium is reserved for senkos, shakey heads and underspins
  4. for smallies? drop shot or a ned rig
  5. drop shot for me that bite is always on
  6. hello fellow canadian
  7. that's a heck of a deal that ugui is so hard not to buy
  8. gut hook challenge i can see it now
  9. that can be true and false at the same time, they are much harder to locate since they are nomadic, they are more aggressive than largemouth generally speaking. Overall I personally agree they are more difficult to catch, which to me is one of the reasons KVD is an amazing angler as well as BP both cut their teeth smallie fishing finding the big schools and now can usually find largemouth with ease
  10. in what regard? it makes for a great leader material when throwing certain baits
  11. same here i really love gerald's approach, also really love his ballin' out jig's been fishing them for pretty much everything so far this year
  12. well i would hope so if not i'll take it off your hands
  13. thank you i was actually looking for some comparison pics, whats the weight difference like?
  14. sounds like a rough winter a couple positives to take away 1) keep working with that left hand and you will potentially be able to fish more spots that you might not have been able to get a bait into before 2) you now have a built it baton in your wrist
  15. use them whenever you are downsizing your presentation for t-rigs mainly with 3" craws, senkos, small ribbon tails that sort of thing
  16. just stick with the original I don't understand the point of saving $3-$5 for berkley (who is a huge corporation and has much more in terms of resources pull when it comes to pricing) to rip off the design. In the long run this deters companies like river2sea from coming up with original ideas anyway since someone is going to rip them off anyway. no i am not saying they came up with the originial design but they made the wp which blew up and then every other company has to have one
  17. i will though you will likely know before me i wont be bass fishing until the end of june
  18. thanks it's also removable which is a plus thanks I'm happy with everything i figured why not take advantage of the discounts
  19. Placed 2 memorial day orders since they couldn't all come in one box. I got myself some nicer gear for jigs, frogging and squarebills as well as stocked up on trailers and flipping baits for the upcoming season. 3 Shimano exage rods 1 7'2" MH/F for jigs, 1 7'2" H/F for frogging and 1 7'4" MH/M for squarebills and chatterbaits Some u-40 cork seal for the new rods and since i always forget to order it. 15 lb sunline assasin for the reaction baits and 16 lb sunline structure fc for the jig rod. 6 packs of yamamoto cowboys 2 bruised shin, 2 green pumpkin purple copper and 2 watermelon red. 3 packs of yamamoto double tail grubs, 1 black blue, 1 cinnamon purple and 1 watermelon red A TW hat because they fit my fat head the best. 6 packs of kinky beavers, 2 hematoma, 2 magic craw swirl and 2 donkey punch 6 packs of sweet beavers, 2 hematoma, 2 magic craw red and 2 donkey punch can't wait to get out and throw some jigs this year and flip every single bush on the lake especially stoked since i finally built a casting deck for my aluminum so i can hopefully fish much more efficiently this year
  20. nego is smaller than the 262 but, it takes a while to learn the 262 and very confusing when you start to fish it, i used it more so for pike than bass, since the jerkbait like action got them to bite. if you want my honest opinion, keep to what you already have. yes trying new big baits is fun but its better to fish the ones you already have confidence in. i have switched this year and i am stocked up on 250's and 175's for glides. i try to keep it to 1-3 baits in a category that i have confidence in, it saves time and really stops you from thinking about what you should be throwing.
  21. consider yourself lucky too most of us in ontario have to wait until the middle-end of june
  22. easiest way would be to talk to a local shop that has megabass product they may be able to order them for you
