  6. Dont like the sound of that. : /
  7. I saw KVD on TV talking about a new scent product called Fish Sticks. I saw the product at BPS a few weeks ago but though I'd try and find out a little more about it before I tried it. Now I've been using scents for years, going back to Fish Formula, and now Yum F2. One thing I did like about the product, according to Kevin, was that it stayed on your plastic longer than the liquid "spray on" scents. Not really looking for a debate about the use of scents, just if anyone has use the product, and do they like it? TIA
  8. I have been throwing a Zoom Shakey Tail worm the last two years. They seem to draw strikes even when the bite is tough. It is a long, skinny worm with an exagerated curly tail. Now, a good deal of my fishing is in spotted bass waters, but largemouth will inhale them too. My favorite color is green pumpkin and I dip the tail in chartreuse Spike-it. I will also throw this worm on a T Rig, especially in the fall. I'll stroke it way up off the bottom near deep dock poles, brush and other deeper structure. 75% of the strikes will come as it flutters back to the bottom. Zoom Shakey Tail.
  9. I have 2 myself, been fishing with the Shock this year. I started smiling when I recognized yours. I aint too crazy about the reel seats, but so far, so good. I sure dont have any problems sensing the fish or setting the hook though! Keep dragging those worms and keep us posted.
  10. Is that a Lightning Rod yer slingin' there big guy?
  11. This the first thought I had as soon as I saw it.
  12. I've been throwing a Sexy Dawg Jr lately but have'nt had a strike. It does some pretty walking though.
  13. Biscuits and Mustard, hmmmm
  14. Could not have said it better myself
  15. I did some looking around online. Those things look freaky up close. Imma go with the d bomb jr on a stand up head and a jointed football jig.
  16. Good job. Gonna check out the D Bomb!
  17. Around $60, give or take, depending on the price of Ethanol free gas
  18. If docks are present, try positioning your boat out off the deep end....say, one cast length away. Concentrate mostly on the deeper dock poles and/or floating docks. Sometimes the fish will suspend, sometimes they'll be close to the bottom. Feel for brush off off those dock ends. Try a texas rig, jig, or Senko type weightless worm. Also, steeper shoreline banks are indicative of deeper water as opposed to flatter ones. Until you get some type of depth finder, it will be a slow process, but it can be done.
  19. I loved the shows he did with Jerry Reid, back in the day. Like some of yall, I've been watching Bill for a long time. I learned alot from him. He did'nt always fish those private holes like he's been doing for the last several years. Bottom line, he's one of THE best that has ever been.
  20. Isnt Longs about a half hour from the coast? We drove through there on our way to the beach a couple weeks ago. Cherry Grove Pier could be an option?
  21. Yep Sometimes you may be fortunate enough to find a covered boat slip to duck into, or under a bridge. Heck, I got caught this morning on a lake with no cover at alI. So I donned the frogg toggs and hunkered down in a cove. No lightning though, just heavy rain.
  22. I tried a Berkley Shock on the advice of a friend. It worked well with fluoro and EWG hooks. Pair one with a Revo, it's so light, my old combo was twice as heavy. Cant beat em for the money.
