you're talking about my cousin. throw's nothing but a Zoom 5" lizard in gp/chart.,3/16 oz bullet and a 3/0 straight shank Gamakatsu on 12 lb Red Label. i dont care what lake or when. maps? dont matter, cruise along, hank williams radio on the blue tooth, pull up to a row of docks, and start throwing. catches the heck out of them too. makes me laugh. more about the fisherman than the gear. i love it.

i still dont know which one of us had the better time?

there's a small cow pond in the pasture that borders our property. the cows are now gone as the property has been sold to a developer and a new subdivision will soon overtake this quiet slice of heaven in western NC. however, it was the perfect spot to introduce my 5 year old grandson to the sport we all love. first we dug our own worms from the garden and then made our way to the water. his first ever fish was a small cat. he proceeded to catch 15 small bream and catfish this afternoon, until we ran out of crawlers. i raised his uncle on the water and now hope to do the same same with him for as long as i can. enjoy!

git r done lonnie. your frames look good. love that stuff. we demo'd the roof of this barn yesterday with chain saw's. he's going back with a trussed roof and removing all the center poles for hay storage.

light weights and wind can be an exercise in futility. it is impossible to stay in contact with your bait at all times, not to mention the bottom. fish has it and you dont know it. my suggestion is to go a little heavier in the wind. good luck

i'll throw a 3/16 bullet if i can get away with it and increase weight as needed due to wind (or with a craw worm) but thats just me. i do prefer worms for deep stroking and crawling thru deep brush. deep for me is the 20'-25' range. edit: thermocline can change the latter
