  1. my point exactly
  2. they love old barns and structures built with saw mill lumber. they bore holes into anything constructed of wood and keep tunneling as they go. older treated lumber kept them at bay but the newer stuff doesn’t. they can be destructive if you let them get out of hand.
  3. we ended up with 11 of them. she got 3 by herself ?
  4. trianing our granddaughter for Carpenter Bee Patrol with the Shop Vac ?

  8. i hate that happened to you and your friend man. we’re the fish biting?
  9. my cousin missed all of last year fishing with me due to covid concerns. heck, he even sold his boat. but now he’s had both doses of the vaccine and he’s ready to make up for lost time. first time on the water in over a year and he even had me down 3-0 early on! i hate his guts ? he caught this chunky girl off a stump in about 5’ fow on a Zoom lizard.
  10. knowing your spots is one thing. dropping anchor and being in the perfect position, with the wind pushing you along, is another. it’s tough duty for sure. anchoring is a good option and that’s my approach in the little johnny. it’s alot of work, too much trouble for some, especially if you have a larger bass boat or really strong winds. i don’t anchor the Javelin out on the big lake, i’ll just pick slack water, maybe throwing at some fishable seams, shoreline, or docks. for me, fishing while anchored requires using heavier weights and/or casting with the wind. casting into or cross wind can be an exercise in futility, not to mention trying to work your presentation with a giant bow in your line. and getting hung up while anchored is maddening to say the least. it takes practice as well as patience.
  11. this is kinda the same situation for me. funny thing about it though, is that i’ve had some places just stop giving up fish. not necessarily an older brush pile, but an actual piece of structure. another complication is the advent of spotted bass in our local waters. i’ve had to re-learn some things that i once thought i had figured out.
  12. they’re all on my little 400 acre lake ?
  13. just pulled it up and gave it a listen, thanks!
