will be fishing as much as i can til around Christmas then i usually give my shoulder a month off, do some pm on the boat, and honey-do items. lake hasn't iced over here in years.
ditto on the cover and auto bilge. i prefer a snap fit cover. i converted a regular cover by applying stainless hardware and snaps. took me a few times to get the hang of putting it on while moored but it works great.
sw piedmont NC checking in with surface water temps in mid-upper 70's. been finding them schooled up in the mouths of coves....along with the bait. when i start seeing either one on my sonar i start throwing. lure choice is yours, just be sure not to fish underneath them. you can catch a few before they get wise to you. some secondary points have been working too. we could use some rain!
same here Mike. called our friends in Clermont this morning and they are fine, no power and LOTS of wind damage, said they'd pay $10 for a good cup of coffee. said something else about a curfew and looters.
we are praying for all of y'all down there
do it jb. i have been retired for over 6 years now and dont regret it one bit, although i still do side jobs for cash, it is at MY pace and discretion. go get your boat and spend that precious time with your wife. you've earned it! God bless.
