  11. fwiw, our lakes in the piedmont of NC have been fluctuating wildly this winter due to heavy rains. they’re now dropping water levels once again on Hickory, Norman, and High Rock. maybe the bite will pick up once things stabilize. good luck man
  12. fwiw, concrete boat ramps, rip rap, and floating docks all retain heat, especially those with southern exposure to available sunlight and sheltered from northerly winds. deeper water close by is always a plus. target calm and sunny afternoons during warming tends.

  17. to each his own i suppose but i agree with you. i’ve had both. now i have an older model electric start Johnson 15 tiller on my little johnny and i love pushing that button. it means having an extra battery on board but i have an auto bilge anyways, as this boat is moored 8 months out of the year, and an aft sonar that i run off of it as well. most sonars display battery voltage these days and that removes alot of the guess work about charging.
  18. fwiw, i like depressions, however subtle, on places like that. there may only be a foot depth change. sometimes they would be right on the “break” (slope, incline), sometimes in the middle of the “hole”.
  19. spot on. i failed both color blindness tests when i joined the Marines, red/green and blue/green. it’s the varying shades of those colors is what gives me problems. it can be frustrating at times.
