  1. So I was gonna buy a new reel, and I made up my mind that I was gonna buy a Lews BB1. But then, like always, I second guessed my opinion. I started looking again and so many people recommended the Curado which is one of the top reels on the market (apparently). But then other recommended the BB1s and speed spools again. So I want you guys to battle it out in this thread and figure out which is better lews or shimano, and who makes the better reels. Ya I know its pretty much impossible to declare "The Best" but i want you guys to try defend your end of the argument and prove why one is better than the other, now lets see it
  2. I just wanted to know if flipping jigs are the same as skipping jigs. I know skipping jigs have to flat surfaces on the bottom of the jig head that allows it to skip. And the flipping jigs look to have the same surfaces. But i couldn't seem to find them on any of the major fishing retailers like basspro or ***. So are they the same?
  3. Yeah, Silas i was just checking out the shimano bags and they are pretty nice but they are kinda pricy
  4. I am in the business for a new tackle bag for bass fishing. I do not own a boat so I would like this bag to hold a good bit of gear, but i also want to keep all of my things organized. it NEEDS to have two straps( i had a one strap previously and they tear up your shoulders). I am looking for the bag to be under $80 too. Any suggestions would help, thanks in advance
  5. I see why you guys are says i could use other bags, but i want a binder so i can stay organized. And do any of you guys know about their tackle bag either?like the quility and convenience of it?
  6. I am going to purchase a browning softbait binder and i was wondering if i should order the standard size or jumbo size? Any info would help alot!
  7. Thanks guys the help really does mean the world
  8. My first baitcaster was a Abu Garcia Promax Combo. The rod measures 7 feet long, although im only 5'4" i never really had a problem with it although people say if you are on the shorter side using 7 foot rods are too tiring. With that said i need an upgrade so im getting some new gear a Lews BB1 and an *** Black rod. So the question is, what length is right for me?
  9. Looking for a new baitcasting rod, I like rods around 7 foot even though im not tall. I would like a rod with a good backbone and a sensitive tip. I also want the handle to feel like it is of quality, because i picked up a ducket ghost casting rod the other day, and it was a nice rod but the handle just felt really cheap with their foam. Im looking in the 100 dollar price range and it will be used for just about everything. Being paired with a Lews BB1 SpeedSpool btw.
  10. Thanks guy for the help, but I think I am going to buy a Lews BB1Hz its smooth and i got some hands on with it, thr only thing is that i dont know how well the casting is but im just gonna trust the brand with this one
  11. 89thI like the lews alot they have been around a while and know what their doing not the mention they look sick. The only problem i see is that they like to say their reels are really light, and i saw a review and the one guy said the spool was alot thinner than his shimanos, thus you get less line storage. And i was wondering if that is a common trait or what?
  12. I want buy a new baitcasting reel around $150. Im gonna be throwing just about everything their is, so I would like a pretty versatile reel. I want the obvious stuff also like a good drag, smooth reeling, and good casting. It would also be great if I could flip/pitch with it, and finally I would love it if it had alot of line storage. I know you can't have all of those things otherwise we would have the perfect reel, but any advice/suggestions would be great!!
