  1. I tried two spools of 15lb and found it to be the best Fluorocarbon line I ever tried. It has great knot strength, low memory, and it is tough as nails. I will continue to buy it and I would highly recommend it.
  2. The high speed Curado sounds like a winner and probably the best bang for the buck. If you wanted to look at something besides a Shimano, I would also look at the Daiwa Zillion. At $250 it's not as good of a deal as the Curado but it's a fine workhorse of a reel. I would highly recommend it.

  4. I tend to use softplastic more than anything else but my favorite to catch fish on is any topwater bait. Nothing beats seeing a big o bass jump out of the water to hit some floating/buzzing/popping lure.
  5. Man, you really know how to get someones hopes up and drop them flat. > Nice owls.
  6. I saw these photos and I can't remember the last time I saw Eddie sober but they look to be in great shape except for Eddie's son. ;D http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/ae/popupV2.asp?SubID=3310&page=2&GTitle=Van%20Halen%20at%20Key%20Arena
  7. I would go with the Shimano Stradic 2500 or a Quantuam Pti-a 20. Both are great reels but line twist will never totally go away with a spinning reel. If you are only going to a spinning reel, you might give some YoZuri Ultra Soft a try. It will help some.
  8. Another vote for the BPS Extreme Double Binder Bag. It holds lots of worms and it has been pretty durable for me.
  9. Blazing Saddles is my all time favorite but here a few others.... Fletch Animal House There's Something About Mary Revenge of the Nerds The Private Eyes Caddyshack Spaceballs Office Space Ferris Bullars Day Off The Pink Panther The Naked Gun There just to many........
  10. No but I have come close. I have seen worse. It needs about a foot of snow to go with it and about 50,000 more lights. At least this is not like my neighboor. She stole a broom, snow shovel and my little light up santa. She claimed that she thought that I was putting them out for the trash. The santa I understand because it was old but after it snowed about 10in, she just came over, took the shovel and broom off my back porch and used it to clean her driveway. HO, HO, HO.....
  11. I have been using kid's Fiskars scissors. They work great. They're small and have a bright colored handle that makes them easy to find in my tackle box.
  12. There is no such thing as Dolphin safe Tuna??????
  13. Growing up a Ford fan, I think I might rather have one of these.
  14. My boss is a Corvette fan, Big Time. I am sure he'll want to add this to his collection. The last one he acquired was an Indy Pace Car version from either 06 or 07. They are sweet. Not a big fan on Knight Rider but I guess this is the new car. 8-)
  15. I like Senkos as much as anybody but maybe it's time for this thread to go away. : It started back in Feb 2006.
  16. BPS Extreme 6'6'' M or MH and a Shimano Stradic 2500. Should cover just about anything.
  17. It's hard to top the Lucky 13. There is one out their that comes close though but at five times the price. The Lobina Rico
  18. Thanks for the head up. They have some great prices on LC cranks. If I can save a couple of bucks, get good service and free shipping on thing over $75, that's a good deal.
  19. I like using a Mepps #3 Black Fury inline spinnerbait.

  21. The ones that bother me the most are the crew for Monday Night Football. What are these people thinking? They should just call it the Tony Kornheiser Show. He never shuts up and what he has to say usually has nothing to do with the game. Thanks ESPN for destroying another American Pastime. I do like Aikman and maybe Phil Simms but Madden is the only one left of the old school anouncers.
  22. For weightless 4in senkos, I use a Quantum Energy Pti-a 20. For 5in weightless and weighted, I use either a Shimano Calais 201 or a Shimano Calcutta 251.
  23. I like tru tungsten. I think it works great and is better than lead. Is it worth the money? Not really, but there are a lot of things in fishing that are not worth it either. Do I catch more fish? Maybe, but I think the benifit is in the size and they hold up longer. One other thing I noticed that was a big benifit was that the lead weights that I was using would fray flourocarbon line and some mono and hybrid lines. With the tru tungsten weights, I would get no fraying at all. If I had to pick which one I thought was worth the money, I would go with the 3/8oz flipping weights. They are 1/2 the size of the lead weights I use.
  24. I have a high speed Zillion that I use for frogs, jerkbaits, lipless crankbaits, and buzzbaits. It sure makes fishing a frogs and buzzbaits easier. You can the slack out of the line quickly with frog and using a buzzbait is effortless.
  25. Over the years I have seen a lot of companies copy one another's ideas but this has to be the closest copy I have ever seen. I wouldn't think they would be of the same quality but at a glance I can't really tell. When you get a chance to fish them and compare them to each other, let us know how they performed.
