Yap. I learned about this years ago when I have a Chevy Camaro. The paint washed off it multiple times when it got wet. Chevy finally let me return it after a long battle but the dealer refused to do anything despite what Chevy was telling them. My father in law is going through this know with a Dodge truck that is rusting. Chrysler refuses to do anything despite there warranty. Basically, the bed is rusting faster than his 84 Dodge Ram. His truck is about 6 years old now and in a few years there will nothing left of it.

The MGX would be an awesome freebie. I have never been fan of the Premier. I had one of the older versions. I was constantly having issues with it.

I have not been able to find it anywhere either, just on line. I bought a bunch of it a few years ago and I am still going through it. I think I have 2 600yard spools of 12lb, 2 spools 600 yards 10lb, and 1 spool 600yards of 6lb still left. I picked these up at BPS for $4 each. It's great line and I never have an issue with it. I just prefer regular Fluorocarbon.

I would pass on both. They are both good reels but the price is to high for them being used.

The Stradic would be choice. It is pretty bullet proof. I have two of the older models set up on St. Croix Avids and love them.

I have a Citica and it is a good basic reel. It gets the job done with no complaints. On the other hand Lews has proven to be a good reel as well. It just boils down to putting one of each in your hand and see which one feels best.

The most sensitive I have fished is the G.Loomis GLX line of rods. I can't imagine it getting any better but there is the NRX. There will be one in my future.....

I depends on the lure. If it is small around 3/8 oz, I use a M Mod-Fast G Loomis Cranbait rod. For heavier stuff I use a MH Mod-Fast Shimano Crucial.

Yap... I have mine parked on a G. Loomis 844C IMX. I use it for spinner baits, lipless cranks, jerkbaits, heavy t-rigs, and heavy jigs. The 844c can handle a lot of different applications.

I use a 4/0 EWG or a 3/0 EWG for small stuff.

A good all around rod would be the G.Loomis 783C GLX 6'6" MH. It can handle just about anything. Another would the 844C GLX. It is a 7' Heavy but it is light and powerful on the hook set.

I have the same reel. It can handle just about any type of bass fishing. My only issue has been light weight baits. Other than that, it has been a great reel.

A friend of mine is a few days out from getting out of the army. He has served for 24 years. He has been to every stink hole imaginable. I don't see how he will adapt to civilian life but he has so many job offers, it's nuts. His wife has been taking phone calls and scheduling appointments. He will end up as a police officer or a stationed government agent of some kind. With his retirement and benefits, he really doesn't even need a job. I know his case is rare. Most guys have that are out in a few years have a hard time finding a job of any kind.

I have a few packages of the old ones. I made the mistake of forgetting about one that was open in my soft plastic tackle bag and wow what a mess. The goo on the inside seemed to seep into everything. I ended up putting them in some empty old soft plastic bags. No issues. One thing about though, with out the goo in the bag, they dry up quick.

The Chronarch. It's a no brainer.

Bullet proof reel. Enjoy, it will last you a long time.

Very nice. The Core is just one those special reels that does not excel at one particular thing. It just does everything you ask of it better than most other reels. I hope I am as lucky as you and my wife treats me one day. I would love to have another Core.

The Stradic 2500 would be my choice but (this just my opinion) you would be better off investing in a better quality rod.

Welcome to the Forum. There is a wealth of knowledge here. Just go to each of the forum topics and read the stickies. As far as your setup goes, I would say the rod is to light but it can be fished for most of the species you have listed. Have you used it much? Lure wise, just start with what works and grow from their. Learn a good knot to tie your baits with before you go hog wild. Plastic worms, such as senkos or yum dingers, rigged with a 4/0 EWG hook is good place to start. Just do some research and watch some videos on this site and you'll be on your way.

I would say, be patient. Learn the reel you have and figure out what purpose your new reel will serve and especially what rod you are going to pair it with. After you have a plan and since you like the Curado, maybe you could move up in the Shimano line up with either the Chronarch or the Core or even the new Curado.

Picked up 5 bags of these form Gander Mountain when they had them for $1 a bag. I have had zero luck with them and the ones I have used have not lasted long when it is hot outside. They sort of melt. On the other hand I can find senkos for 2 for $10 or 2 for $12 with a $10 off $50 coupon that makes them $4-$5 a bag. I have also tried KVD version and Dingers. The Dingers are not bad but I have better luck with Senkos. I can't remember it was years ago but there was an online source that sold a senko knock offs for $3-$4 a bag and they were awesome. I ordered 200 from them and it took me a long time to use them with all the other stuff I had. Bottomline, if it works for me, I don't mind paying a couple of bucks but I if I can find a deal that works better, I'd be all over it.

Senkos, Fat Ika, and Zoom Lizards (in that order)....

I have one from Falcon but I don't think they make it any more. I have tried to find another one but no luck.
