  1. Keitech Fat Impact has worked great for me this year. I wish the held up better but man do they catch fish. Great bait.
  2. I tried the same Spiderwire and had the same issue with it breaking but any toothy fish will cut through line (any line). I would also tie it directly to the lure, no swivel, if you are using braid. If you are still having issues with fish biting through the line, use a wire lead but only as a last resort. Also no matter what knot you use, always wet it before you cinch it.
  3. I would use minimum 20lb FC no leader and a big reel for that bait. I know nothing on the rod you mentioned. I would use either a revo toro, shimano curado 300e or a good, large round bait caster. Good read from TT http://www.tackletour.com/reviewhuddleston.html
  4. Buzzbaits and black shallow crankbaits.
  5. RI Smallie Beaver in Penetration.
  6. I would agree. I am glad to see the state embrace him. He seems like a genuinely good guy.
  7. This might be one of the best finals the NBA has put on in years. I am not a fan of James but you can't deny the talent and his ability to lead a team. GS is just fun to watch, an overall great team.
  8. Good quarterback with the best agent in the business. IMHO, I don't think the guy is worth it. What do you guys think?
  9. St. Croix Legend Tournament 7'1'' M Fast. If you want to spend the coin, my favorite is the G. Loomis BCR803 GLX, the old version if you can find it.
  10. Kind of skeptical about the reviews... Looks more like an ad for Sears. I will look more in depth into this website. I will come back to visit this thread again after I dig deeper.
  11. I love my shimano reels but this totally does not make sense. There company logic is not well thought out these days it would seem.
  12. I would prefer a softer tip for jerkbaits and a length of 6'6" but the X-fast would be ideal for topwater. A good go between would be the 6'8'' M Fast Avid. I like the fast tip though for topwater walk the dog baits and poppers.
  13. FC should last a while under most conditions. What FC are you using? A good alternative would be YoZuri Hybrid but not as sensitive and does not last as long as most FC. It is pretty good line for the price.
  14. I have not tried the Lews but the Supreme is a fine reel. At that price point, it is a great bang for the buck.
  15. I have had some FC on a reel for over a year but most last 3-4 months. Non-FC I will change it in about 1-2 months. Unspooled and in the package, as long as it is out of the sun and stored at room temp> I have had some for about 7 years that still's good.
  16. G Loomis BCR803 GLX G Loomis MBR844C IMX G Loomis MBR783C GLX
  17. No brainer, the Avid would be my choice.
  18. St. Croix Avid 6'8" M X-fast. Gander Mountain has a rebate available that would put you close to the amount you specified.
  19. Here you go.... http://www.sierratradingpost.com/mens-sunglasses~d~8803/ I got my Serengeti's for around $80 instead of $300. You just have to watch out for sales and online coupons.
  20. I have been thinking of trying this bait. Have any of you guys used this bait? The Niko Rig looks interesting.
  21. GYCB Fat Ika.
  22. I caught some weird stuff on a senko... I will be adding this to my collection.
  23. I like the reel but the price point leaves me scratching my head. They should have priced this at $110 or less.
  24. I have never fished one but I have never heard anything positive them unfortunately.
