  1. I've looked everywhere to try and find some reviews on these rods but haven't really found anything. There's some on the longer SWBR rods but those are a lot different. Anyone have any experience with these shorter, lighter SWBR IMX Pro's (7'2" M & MH)? Could I get away with throwing a variety of baits on the, not just swimbaits? I have an opportunity to get them for cheap that's why I'm curious. Thank you!
  2. Yes, that’s exactly what happens.
  3. I have a gen3 Helix 12 with side imaging. I went fishing today and I could not get any of the sonar imaging working. It was just blank. The only thing that worked was the gps mapping and temperature. Now the obvious cause would be the transducer but I don’t think that’s it. It worked last time I was out and I am still getting a temperature reading. I think it has something to do with the software update. I keep gettiny alerts on the FishSmart app about a software update and I have tried to install it but it doesn’t work. I go through all the steps and nothing happens. No error messages or anything. Now when I turn on my unit, it gives me the yes or no question shown in the picture. I have tried clicking both yes and no. Nothing happens. Any suggestions on what to do?
  4. It’s an all electric boat, so I got it mounted on the trolling motor. I’m definitely going to realign it and see if it makes a difference.
  5. I bought a humminbird helix 12 gen3 last year and I’m having an issue with the side imaging. The right only reads about 30ft or so and the rest is black. It’s like this no matter what depth I am in. Does anybody know how to fix this? I am assuming there’s a problem with the transducer. The image does not show it well but I get much more range in the left side than the right.
  6. Definitely considering that one, just worried it might be a too stiff/heavy for me.
  7. So I had the 2015 model Orochii in the jig and worm. I absolutely loved it but it broke on me the other day. I'm sending it in for a new 2018 Orochii but there is no longer a Jig and Worm model. Not sure what rod to get. I will be using it to pitch creature baits on a 3/16 tungsten on 20lb fluoro into laydowns. I need the rod to be stout enough for a solid hook set but also light enough to make accurate casts at trees. The jig and worm was perfect but was on the top end as far as stoutness. Any suggestions???
  8. Wondering if there are any orochi owners out there and what you think of this rod. I will probably be pitchin Texas rigs into timber. This rod is very high in my price range wondering if there is any other better alternatives. I have the same model in the Levante and like it and when I felt the orochi it was much lighter and seemed more sensitive. How does the rod compare in terms of sensitivity compared to a loomis rod? Any thoughts are appreciated.
  9. Also make sure you keep your rod down so they won't jump and throw your lure.
  10. I keep mine in the original packaging to avoid rust. I guess it works for me since I don't use a large variety of hooks.
  11. What's your setup for a more finesse or smaller Alabama rig?
  12. What is yours? I'd say mine is a LC Gunfish.
  13. I remember hearing about the Yamamoto Funka frog a couple years ago and thought it looked neat. I have looked it up and it said it was finally released but I can't find them anywhere. Has anyone heard anything about them.
  14. I am thinking of getting a new rod for flippin and pitchin. I have narrowed it down to the gloomis e6x and the Kistler KLX. I have used GLX's many times and z bones and I liked them both. I will be normally flippin wood.
