  1. I've been fishing since I was small, but only recently purchased a bass boat for bigger water & tournaments around Western KY (Lake Malone, Barkley, KY, Beshear, etc.). I'm used to small watershed lakes where electronics aren't needed. What kind of console/bow combo would be good for someone just learning to use the electronics? I'm thinking about Helix 10 SI for the console and Helix 9 DI for the bow. I'm not worried about cost ($4,000 or so budget) as much as getting something that will benefit me in the long run. Boat is a 91 Bullet, 21 footer. Thanks for any imput.
  2. I don't know if the website is ok to put on here or not, but I just got a heck of a deal on a Daiwa Exceler 100HA. $55 shipped to my door, plus I can send the $5 and UPC code in and get the free HUK shirt that comes with it. I know it's not the greatest reel, but I plan to use it for a backup or taking in on a 4 wheeler to small places where I don't want to take a chance on damaging one of my better reels. It was on Monster Fishing Tackle's website. They are ringing up $59.99 and I found a Fish Hound coupon that took another $5 off.
  3. Not showing it for $147 here either. Show's them for $147 if you google it, but when you go to the actually site, just normal price. I guess that just keeps the bait monkey away.
  4. Warning, if you take it back to Dick's without the receipt, they are only going to give you about $90 for it. I had 2 that I returned to get a Lew's and that was the lowest price they had sold for in the past X months, so without the receipt, that's all they would give me back.
  5. My other addiction used to be collecting Maker's Mark bottles. At one time I had over 400 collector bottles that were unopened. I sold all of them except for about 20 in order to buy some land to deer hunt on, but this was my collection in its prime.
  6. I just dropped over $300 today. Mostly to get started with a NED setup. Bought several packs of jig heads and 2 different type of lures to try with it. Oh, also bought 9 rod gloves and 9 sets of Reel Grips.
  7. I guess so. They were not broken.
  8. Got my 2 rods in today. Too bad Cabela's uses cardboard tubes. My tube was tore all to crap, but luckily, the rods were ok. I made the UPS driver stand beside me as I opened it, just in case.
