  3. All I can say is wow incredible
  4. fished a little pond near my work Saturday and caught my first fish of the year, not a bass but a 17 inch pickerel. better then nothing it was good to feel that tug on my line.
  5. Amazing they were on a topwater bite. With the water so called way to go.
  6. Any rod under 75 is going to perform around the same. The few rods that have been mentioned a few time. The Berkeley lightning To point out one. Is a great rod that can usually found for around 40$ at any Walmart and there truly hard to beat unless you get a used rod for around your 75$ price point.
  7. Thanks everyone. I'm thinking I'll keep the hook on to give a try never fished with them before. Someone mentioned better in colder water. Well Hopefully I'll be getting ice out this week up north .
  8. I got these for 4$ each on clearance at Dick's and they have different hooks on the back? Do you think this was a factory mistake? Or someone bought it changed hooks and returned it? I've never seen this before anyone else?
  9. ive never fished the Nashua river... going into any river at the moment scares me with how high and hard the water is running. is there any place to fish the Nashua from shore that's decent? I know Nashua nev is very knowledgeable about that river system
  10. I have a few of the mags jigs. there swim jigs are really nice. I believe bps in Hooksett sells them as well as the taxidermy in auburn deff sells them I have gotten a few there. there swim jigs have a really nice look to them im excited to try them out... on another note anyone find any open water to fish yet? I have a really big urge to get out there with the weather today.
  11. Those bubblegum gum senkos get demolished by lmb in clear water fir me if nothing else seems to work. Its sorta silly till theres a 4 lber eating it
  12. If you want to see the keitech jigs in person the dicks sportung goods in concord has a bunch
  13. 20% off at bass pro right know ill be going back thursday for 2 more
  14. from what I understand chatterbaits will fall under spinnerbait category and you will still be able to use them.
  15. I think the biggest difference is action. I know the rage series of baits have the most action I have seen from a soft plastic there unbelievable. it does not mean that the cheaper baits wont work. I actually love the big bite bait craws and I get those for $1 for a pack of 6. there's not as much action as the rage craw but sometimes that's exactly what the bass are looking for. I don't have any experience with the biospawn but the rage products are deff worth the price.
  16. Yup he wasnt lieing Just was there and got these
  17. Welcome to the forums i fish mostly in nh but also maine and mass. Must be nice going to school down south to fish year round im jealous lol good luck in both school and on the water. Be safe out there
  18. Well i dont sail So i always said the same qoute but changed it... Red sky at night fishermens delight, red sky in the morning fishermen take warning
  19. Thanks for that , a great reminder how heavy some plastics can be
  20. I think this is the very reason that strike king introduced the new red eye shad tungsten two tap. too be the perfect bait in the middle of the two? I think strike king knocked it out of the park with this idea... hopefully it produces.
  21. The mags jigs are decent.. Really like there swim jigs.
  22. In new hampshire its the law to take a boater safett class and pass a test after, to drive anything over 25 hp. They made this law about 15 years ago... I would say we have atleast one colision every year still. People truly just need to slow down.
  23. I have talked about in in other posts. the best thing to legally do with your old lead jigs in NH, will be to turn them into blade baits or chatterbaits. once you put a blade on them from my understanding it will be considered a spinnerbait. did not mean to offend anyone or say break the law.
  24. Aaron Marten says he likes the fastest real possible all the time no matter what bait he is fishing...I on the other hand like the lower gear ratios when its important to have a slow presentation, or for when I am deep cranking. I like the faster reels for my frog fishing , flipping, pitching, and punching. but in the end it all comes down to what you feel comfortable using.
  25. You should also post something under the regional section if you have not. There is a sothern nh post that has been going on a while try there
