11 years working at a Marina. I've seen a lot of issue's with boats and this may trigger some fanboys here but I would avoid Tracker even though they have improved but still the floor and compartments problem are so common with these boats more than any other boat brand. Lund are decent but they have had big issue's. I've come across several Lund boats with leakage. A boat owner's worst nightmare. However Lund boats are riveted (often the issue). Just shows a solid welded boat can't be beat when it comes to durability and quality. Also came across some transom problems, mainly small edge rotting. Lowe actually from my experience quality wise is the better boat. They are very rugged. The only issue's I've seen are common things like the vinyl peeling or tiny rips on the seats sort of thing. Basic wear and tear and the only other aluminum boat in the 16 or 17ft class that I seen hold it's quality as good as Lowe is Alumacraft.
Assuming we our talking about the 16.5' class of boats from Lowe, Lund and Tracker like the OP titled in this thread. The Tracker Pro Guide V-16 SC has wood in the flooring. The Lund Angler SS flooring is wood (Higher class 18ft, 19ft models have a optional composite material not as good as aluminum but much better than wood.) Lowe is aluminum floor.
Nitro's are not bad, regardless of what some say negatively about them. They have won many CSI awards. They are reasonably priced and look and ride nice and from what I heard from owners on the most part are satisfied with them.
Yeah cuz thats not expensive.
A better deal is a Triton 19TRX Patriot comes loaded with all kinds of pro features. I'll been in one they are nice and at a $49,995 price for what you get it's a sweet ass deal.
Preferrably the trailer weight for the 2017 189 trx. I can't find it anywhere online. The Triton website only list the boat weight. Don't know why they wouldn't put the trailer and boat weight on there together or the trailer weight too. I'm going to be in the market purchase a boat soon I want to know the total trailer/boat weight for the Triton 189 trx because like all vehicles they have a tow limit. I just can't fine trailer weights anywhere.
Abrazx is abrasion resistance but coils off the reel more than Invizx also Invizx cast a bit smoother and cast slightly further. Also if you look at review scores you will find Invizx has a higher score than Abrazx. Over all though both are (imo) tops in the flourocarbon line department and either one of them are fanstastic.
I bought a Field & Stream 12' Eagle Run Fishing Kayak last year. Ive used it more than 40times and I love it! 12ft long its feels pretty light for its size and is quality made, surprisingly it can hold up 500lbs, I paid a little over $600 but I noticed a few days back that Dicks Sporting Goods has it on sale for $549. I would recommend checking it out.
I see this brand in Wal Mart all the time but never tried to use it, Ive used Berkley Vanish, FC Sniper, Stren Flourocast and Seaguar Invizx. The Seagaur Invizx seem to be the best out of the group to me. But hey if Spiderwire Flouro works for ya, great, have at it man.
Fluoro is usually the better choice because of its low visibility in water and because that the fish will not notice the line which will then translate into more strikes.
Im not sure how your retrieving it or if you have a high speed reel or not. You mite need to slow down your retrieve some and make sure your only doing short intermediate jerks.
