So you flipping out because he killed a fish? The fish was caught on a worm? The guy used a cooler? I wasn't there but from what I gather he planned to eat the fish hence the cooler. You know people have ate fish since the beginning of time contrary to today's PC media hype to release every gosh darn fish ever caught. Judging people not knowing the entire situation isn't always the smartest move. Not everyone was raised the same from the same country. Much less following the internet PC rules for proper fishing. Could be where the dad was from this is normal fishing. Could be his family was poor and hungry. It would be very hard to know all that from a duck feeding picnick. If your issue was it was under the legal limit fine save yourself the heart attack play it cool stay the heck out of it. Make the phone call and amazing the game warden shows up and does his thing. You sticking your nose in ruined the whole bust. No evidence, no perp, etc. Also some people don't take lightly to some stranger coming at them aggressively because they don't approve of whatever someone else is doing. Might try self control. In this day and age going in all hyped up like that could get ya shot.

What he said ^^^ A 16ft for two grown anglers bass fishing from what I've seen will be leaning toward uncomfortable. I have wished my 18ft was a 20 at times.

Been there before myself. The moment I knew I wasn't coming back It was a huge burden off me. 18 years in the same building is not a good thing. Change is a good thing sometimes even if you didn't realize you needed it. People/management forget what you did for them it's a all about what can you do for me now. I've seen it first hand. And as long as they can keep piling it on you and you keep selling like mad it just proves they were not getting all they could from you. Seems in their mind it justifies their move even more. So at this point you get to make the choice basically be quiet and be a number receiving a check each week. Looks like what they want. Or find new employment before you either get fired or ruin your stay enough you are forced out with bad marks on your records.

OK well we know they eat or they never would have made it to huge or to the number "tons". So all that is left is the same exact same thing every guy has to do. Find the fish Find the correct bait Offer/present the bait in the correct manner Know what a strike feels like Set the hook Get these simple steps right and you will catch them. They are eating something or they wouldn't be "huge" nor would there be "tons" of them. Power plant lakes are usually decent fishing from my experience.

If you want to just service them that should be easy enough to do provided you have a little mechanical ability. A few basic hand tools. And a smartphone. Servicing and rebuilding are different. Just a quick cleaning and lubing to me is a service. Replacing bearings and broken or worn parts that requires a complete disassembly is a much bigger task. Watch YouTube videos of similar/same reels being serviced. Gather the appropriate tools to do the job. Get a clean place that you can lay out the pieces. Then use your phone to take pictures or video of everything before you take it apart. As you proceed keep taking pictures or video. Now if for any reason you don't know how it goes back you have a reference. As has been stated some of the reels actual values are hard to justify the expense of a shop. However If the reels are your dad's and sentimental comes into play. If you don't want to risk learning on them I would suggest DVT as well.

Some people will buy anything. Just get the right salesman pushing it and there is a % who will inevitably jump on.

None of the locksmiths in our rural area would even talk to us and the dealership was almost as bad. That is a nice little racket they have on those FOBs. As for a Subaru ... I will respool all my reels before the heavy fishing of spring each year. Sometimes mine gets changed when I feel like it has taken a beating more than normal. Of course my rods are stored inside the house or inside the rod locker when not in use.

It is a HMG Fenwick HMG GT72M-F-CB Crankbait Casting Rod 7'2" Medium rod power, fast rod action. It appears they no longer make them. Sorry I didn't realize they were not available anymore. What a shame it is a excellent rod for the $. Here I posted about it before

I hear the H2O Ethos rods are well worth the $60. I haven't used them but the reviews I've seen are good.

Fenwick has a dedicated crank bait rod. I have 2 of them and can't say enough about them. Really nice durable rods for roughly $100. I can get the model off them when I get home if your interested.

My experience is on a baitcaster and I don't have a issue with memory. It's so inexpensive I will respool all my reels before the heavy fishing of spring each year. I would think if it was a heavy line like a 20+ lb test memory could be worse but I only use 12lb and it works pretty much for a season kept indoors when not in use. Again it's such a inexpensive line it's not a issue if you wanted to change it say 2 or 3 times a year. Sometimes mine gets changed when I feel like it has taken a beating more than normal. I recommend it as it is a very good mono especially for the $.
