  1. I'd make promises and wheel n deal just like they did you do to get my $29000.00 cut, my pay I was promised caught back up to current, and what ever else you were owed and take my skills to where I was appreciated. Of course after the checks cleared the bank I would explain why I was leaving politely. That would be I can't stand liars and thief's and so far you guys have managed to score on both accounts. I shouldn't have to chase you down and relentlessly attempt to get what was promised to me. Being you can't be trusted I'm moving on. Maybe give them the bird on the way out the door. I will say after 40+ years in the field I have learned money is not always the best measure of a good job. People who work hard and have pride in their job usually find it very stressful in work environments as you described. It was a great feeling when I left money on the table to work at a place that gave a d**n about its employees. Hope things work out for you.
  2. Yes yes yes. Only the bass can tell you what they want. You have to search trying the different methods.
  3. Nice one thx for sharing.
  4. LOOKS LIKE YOUR HAVE A PROBLEM THEN !!!
  5. True a spool of Big Game is cheap enough you could change about every week if you so desire.
  6. I wanted to know similar things about boats when I was looking. Seems boats aren't as well documented as automobiles. Some boats have documentation or records and some don't. From my experience all you can do is research with Google, make phone calls or email the manufacturers. And post on boat/fishing forums and hope for the best.
  7. d**n you guys I have to have Rx glasses as well and every pair I look at is over $500 Its about time I got new ones anyway and these Oakley's were almost that much when I got them. I'll look at the Coastas but I sure like the comfort of my Oakleys.
  8. Who is this "we" you speak of?
  9. They will still be well ahead of the novice. They spend so much more time on water they can search without electronics. But they would gripe the whole time about not having them. ?
  10. Yup all kinds a Smithwick for $6.29 http://www.brannansbass.com/p-669-smithwick-devils-horse.aspx Also there seems to be a wide variety of Heddon Torpedos for $5.29 http://www.brannansbass.com/p-218-heddon-torpedo.aspx Real nice people there. It's right down the road from me.
  11. Says wide tail in the tag line? Zoom only shows G tail U tail and Curly tail that I see.
  12. What about the load range should I go ahead and get the D?
  13. Here are the only ones I have. I had long retired my Smithwick. It was my last one and didn't want to lose it. The silver with blue top torpedo style bait and the unopened Reaction Strike XRM both came compliments of LTB. The last one I think is a Dalton. It was given to me by a member here when I purchased some baits it was a bonus he threw in. I haven't fished one of this style in forever. See what happens when you get too much tackle.
  14. The pic is of my Road Runner trailer. I blew a tire out last trip and am looking to replace the 175/80/13 tires. My boat is like 990# empty so the load range C seems to cover the weight. But my question is can you tell a difference on the Load range D? Also is there a brand I need to avoid using or a recommendation to use? I'm buying all new that is 2 on the ground and the spare. I haul trailers every day I work hauling a backhoe and the 14ply are a must but these little bit tires I'm not to sure on.
  15. Well glad you guys shared that. I don't feel as bad for last Saturday. I didn't get skunked but it sure was slow. And I had on and off again cloud cover with a light wind I was thinking it was going to be awesome. Got on the water went to one of my better points to the drop off threw a little old Zoom utail motor oil chartreuse tail worm and it was on they literally ripped it's tail off and finally I set the hook in a roughly 2# LM. The next 8hrs my partner hooked a 11inch LM but other than that the fish were holding steady nothing seemed to perk their interest. I chalked it up to learning and it was very nice out there temp wise so no loss enjoying nature.
  16. I have these Lews reels below and each have performed great. These are all used a minimum of 8hrs a week. Highly recommended IMHO Lews Tournament 7:1 Lews LFS Speed Spool 6.4:1 Lews Mark Rose signature series 7:1 <-- cheap Walmart reel I haven't used any of their rods so I cant speak for them.
  17. Braid is extremely thin in low lb test Very sensitive Less time bsing around with leader material and or knots Zero chance of a leader knot failure. I'm sure there are more. Same here. If that fish is spooked by the line you weren't making a very good presentation with the bait. I've never has issue catching fish with straight braid.

    Hmm.

You forgot it's likely the most powerful position in the world is about to be given to a woman who over 60% of her own country consider to be a untrustworthy person. The fact that 2% of the country is making radical changes because they disagree with the sex they were born with. Or can't comprehend that males need to stay out of the females bathrooms. Quite amazing how this extremely small % has managed to become so influential as to the way the other 98% of the country should live. For the record I'm not judging it's just a observation.
  19. I'd probably start without. Being is summer a slightly smaller profile is what I would look at. But if craws are a abundant food source where your fishing you might lean that way. Try one and see what happens if it's not performing try the other.
  20. Carl Kalonka on The Extreme Angler is one I also have seen as well. https://www.youtube.com/user/ExtremeAnglerTV/featured Seems like a stand up guy.
  21. Good point. Pilots wont be flying planes because they watched a YouTube video or read the manual. There are a ever lasting long list of things that reading and watching YouTube will possibly assist you as a tool but that is where it stops. When it comes down to it there really is no substitute for time on the water. Its like trying to explain how a bite or strike feels. It ain't happening on the internet no matter how hard someone tries to explain it until your holding your rod and the fish is hitting your bait you wont know.
  22. Do you log condition details of fish you've caught? No, I'm to busy fishing to be bothered with paperwork. Besides with the experts all on YouTube they can just tell me when, where, and how to fish every condition in 5 min or less usually.
  23. I'm a Big Game user as well. I have simplified my stuff to use 12# on my cranking rods and my Texas Rig setups. Look at it like this people are "finesse" fishing for bass with 4 # and 6# line and I don't see thread after thread of complaints of loosing fish. 12# will handle all most will need. Unless your pitching in the slop or heavy cover of some sort. Big Game may get some abrasion fishing but it's usually not a issue. Its cheap replace it before next trip. It's the kinks from a backlash, the nicks from being hauled around, the fancy knots that are improperly applied etc etc that will bring you more issues. These issues are usually blamed to the line manufacturer when that is usually not the case. User error is far more likely.
