  1. I load both ways depending on where and if I have a partner with me that knows how I load my boat. I haven't had any issues doing this but I am not the retard that doesn't get his trailer in the lake far enough and then sits there full throttle trying to make the impossible happen. This is what I have read causes the holes and mounds at the ends of the ramp. It was a parks and wildlife article and it makes sense so I don't run my engine like that at the ramp. I learned to back the trailer in just a foot more and the boat goes on effortless. From watching the numerous boaters that the owners have a lifetime of experience powerloading does not require full throttle bursts. I'm not a expert but I can easily powerload my boat with no winch and never really rev the engine up at all. I guess some places may be different that I haven't been that make it more difficult??? But I have seen some really bad boat loading as I am sure many of you have as well.
  2. It is when comparing it to living with your in-laws.
  3. Just a few I quickly found on the subject with a search.
  4. I dont guess I know then. That is as often as I run mine on really warm days with no issue. Maybe do as the others have recommended and try the Sure-Life labs.
  5. Nice article here as well that might help ya out. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/deep-water-crankbait-paul-elias.html
  6. Hey you can always shack up with a friend till they are gone. Second option is bullets are cheap.
  7. Fenwick Aetos at slightly over your budget but way more rod. Or the Academy H2O XPRESS™ Ethos I hear is a great rod value well within your budget.
  8. Congratulations!
  9. Just curious why in that order?
  10. I'll only weight if it's a large fish. And unless I am looking to put in my live well it doesn't get measured unless again it's a larger fish.
  11. Purchased my last 2 reels from eBay. Just like shopping for the correct reel you have to be aware of the details when shopping a auction site. Stick with great reputation sellers use a payment method that gives you some sense of security and shop its really that simple.
  12. You guys that want that Senkos type action should check out forum sponsor Buzz Baits Sassy Stick it's extremely close to the Senko and at a reasonable price. Of course if your bull headed and are unwilling to be open-minded about it you can pay $8 a bag for Senkos all you want. I agree with Heavy Dluxe and Senko lover "What @Senko lover said is spot on with one slight alteration... That 10% wherein the bass will only hit senkos is a little high. That's because there is at least some percentage of days where they will only hit a [BPS Stik-O, SK Shim-E-Stik, etc etc etc]." The day you think fish will only hit a certain brand color or shape lure is the day you hurt your fishing.
  13. How often does yours cycle on auto? Mine has several different auto cycle times and a run. I have this on the aeration and on the pump to change the water. The hotter it gets the more I change the water and run the aeration. I have left it on run during the hottest days. So far my fish have always been extremely good shape when the day is done.
  14. I'm a Lew's user as well. I have several different models of baitcasters of theirs and they all seem solid. Like WCP said with no details can't say much but Lew's is a good company from my experience.
  15. From my experience 15-20 seconds and it's either dry to the touch or so close by the time it touches water it will be. It's fast but I'm usually in warm weather. Never used it in the cold that I remember. As for lasting it actually penetrates the plastic. I have never had any worm, craw or soft plastic outlast the dye. I actually have used JJs for several years. And it has been a good product. But just last weekend I used mine and had it on the tailgate in the shade. I didn't notice while fishing the sun had changed direction and was directly on it. Next time I see my chartreuse it's 1/2 in the Ziploc baggie out of the bottle. I know I put the lid on but apparently it couldn't hold the pressure. So many times I almost tossed the baggie as the bottle is glass and the lid seems sturdy. Boy am I glad I didnt. ALWAYS keep JJs in some extra protection.
  16. Got to love technology. 1/2 BS mixed with 1/2 who knows what. I have seen numerous times guys standing in front of the 50 different kinds of line scratching their head. It's absurd and many of those looking to buy line have used that exact word absurd.
  17. That makes a horrible sound. Don't ask me how I know.
  18. Portagee Gamefish? What is that supposed to be.
  19. I agree when your thumb looks like that it was a good day. Congrats on the nice catch.
  20. That would be a great start no doubt. Heck there are many that I wouldn't mind letting on my boat. Or we could go on theirs. I get so into the fishing I probably wouldn't be any good company. I wouldn't even know who was fishing with me. Can we have name tags?
  21. Well at least you did catch some fish. Also no lure was totally lost and even the guide was saved so all in all it could have been way worse.
  22. I'm pretty sure he's saying the thug life style seems to show through. And I see it on occasions in the NFL. Just watch the news about once a month, one is guaranteed. And that is only the ones getting picked up / caught. We all know that is only a small % based on statistics. Just watch the stupidity this weekend if Seattle does what is rumored.
  23. Easy the PC police will be here to shame you for having an opinion. Yeah I still watch the Cowboys but not like I use to.
  24. That is your call. Some use backing to save a few bucks on line using cheap crap line for a filler so to speak. Some use tape. Some even claim its stops the braid from slipping. Personally I tie to my spool It isn't slipping unless the spool slips. And I am not a fan of extra knots and I have a few bucks to fill my spool with line. Others have different opinions I am sure they will eventually chime in.
