First of all I want to thank all of for contributing to this forum and especially Catt for staying with this site all these years and helping those of us who wish to learn more about this great fishery. I am retired and just set up a camp about 1 yr ago in the Lanann Area. This spring I promised myself I would venture out and try to learn new areas, especially on the South End. I am limited where I can go due to size of my boat. I would love to get some ideas from some of you who fish Toledo a lot on some places I could consider learning which have good fishing areas fairly close to the launch area, is pretty protected from the wind, and has productive fishing during different seasons of the year. Perhaps one Creek area that you would learn if it would be the only creek you could fish. I realize main lake areas are important during the summer but I also assume that some of these good creeks hold fish year round. Thanking you in advance 

Going to Toledo Bend for the next 4 days. I love to fish for the pre-spawn bass. I like fishing traps and crank baits. What kind of structure, cover and depth in the mid lake area should I concentrate on to target the pre-spawn fish. I realize the fish are doing a lot different of things and do not do their thing all at the same time. Will be staying in Lannan area. Thinking about fishing Carrice Creek and San Miguel. Your input would greatly be appreciated.

I would like to get your opinion on the best places on the lake to launch a small boat with good fishing nearby with pretty good wind protection. i am talking about a mid size aluminmun bass boat. Don't know the lake good enough to make long runs or get caught in rough water. Would just like to learn one small area with perhaps an nice marina close by. Thanks for your suggestions

Does anyone know any nice places in which they lease lots for mobile homes. Needs to be waterfront if possible. Looking for campsite on Toledo Bend. Can be any where mid lake to the south end. Thanks for your help

I will be installing Hummingbird Helix 7 unit next week. Can someone tell me the best method to get Toledo Bend chart information including boat lanes. Can I buy just Toledo Bend. Is there any other chips better than the Lakemaster Chip. First time buying a unit with SD card. Does anyone on Toledo Bend give electronics training. Would like to learn as much as possible about this new technology with side imaging and the Navigation features. Thank to all of you who contribute to this site.

Has anyone had issues with installing power pole on a aluminum Bass boat. I have a Ranger Rt178 with 70 hp Zuzuki. Since power pole has been installed I am having porpoising Issues. It feels like to much weight in the rear of boat. I had dealer move Engine up one notch. Has improved but still having issues. If anyone has had some of these same issues I would appreciate Your input. Thanks
