  1. I wear nothing but Columbia PFG, most of which I have purchased at incredible prices at the Columbia Outlets in the Tanger Outlet Malls.
  2. I haven't made it out yet. Hopefully with the forecasted rains the water levels will come up.
  3. I have a Shimano 2500 on a 5'6" Ugly Stik that works very well
  4. I have coated J-hooks screwed into the garage ceiling, rods are hung horizontally.
  5. Allentown area here. Just started to get out on the Lehigh for some trout action. Yesterday was a mixed bag to include a large turtle.
  6. I have the 9' Cabela's Fish Eagle heavy action Salmon /Steelhead rod. Alot of rod for the money.
  7. Cabela's Tournament ZX on sale for like $54.00
  8. I just picked up a Cabela's Fish Eagle Salmon/Steelhead rod and a Cabela's Tournament ZX reel. Very nice set up.
  9. The new WAWA at Cedar Crest Blvd & Hamilton St in Allentown.
  10. I read about a guy landing a 6# smallie just north of Sand Island on the Lehigh.
  11. Minsi Lake is drained for repairs. Leaser, with the exception of trout is still catch and release. The lehigh offers great opportunities for nice sized trout and dink to decent smallies. The Lehigh also offers muskies that are pushing 45"+.
  12. My battery is in a battery box which is in a milk crate. I run the canoe backwards (rear is the front) . The milk crate is up front and can't shift. The wires run through a piece of 3/4" PVC to the trolling motor.
  13. Try to not let the fish get its head out of the water. I lost a 10# rainbow on a Kastmaster. Reeled it all the way in when it lifted its head out of the water and shook the spoon free.
  14. I have a Cabela's Eagle Tournament II and a Shimano Sienna 2500 FD. Both nice smooth reels.
  15. I am running a 17' canoe with a trolling motor. I have the Minnkota Endura 45lb thrust. It has the 5 preset speeds and works great. When running solo I sit on the opposite end. The back becomes the front. I installed a length of PVC conduit alomg the inside edge to run the battery cables through. Very pleased with the set up.
  16. To get my toes wet in the round reel world I picked up an Abu Garcia Ambassdeur 5500S. It was mistakenly put in the $40 clearance bin and that's what I got it for. Regular price was $90. Good deal for me and great way to learn the bait caster.
  17. I use the Rapala mechanical fish gripper scale. Pretty good scale for $33.00
  18. I have a 17' canoe and i use a single blade.
  19. "in PA registration is different than a title. i can get a title for an extra $36 but who needs in on a canoe/yak." I bought a canoe off of a friend who was terminal with no bill of sale. When i registered it all i did was give them his name, phone number and address. But that wasnt a problem, but i did have to title it.
  20. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day on 22.
  21. All within 10-30 minutes of my house I ha 3 Wamarts, 2 DSG's and a Cabela's. BPS is an hour and a half trip one way and not worth it. The selection is not that great and pricing is higher than the others I can go to.
  22. I have always used LH spinning reels but wanted to learn how to use a baitcaster. Nobody had lefties on the shelves. I then happened upon an Abu Garcia Ambassadeur S 5500 combo on clearance for $40. I couldn't sneeze at that. It's a little awkward having to switch but at least I am learning the baitcaster.
  23. I fish from shore or from a canoe. My 6'6" spinning and casting rods seem like the best balance for my applications. The spinning rod is a medium action for plastics and the casting is a MH used as a general purpose crank/spinner Bait rod.
