talked to a guy at work about sandblasting and that looks like the first thing on the agenda for the trailer. Still haven't decided about herculiner or paint, it will probably just come down to a price decision. I'm not looking to have the prettiest trailer out there, just one that isn't quite so ghetto. As for the boat itself, I've seen some neat things people are doing to their jons, but I think a good cleaning is the first order of business

I just got a real nice deal on a 14ft Jon Boat and a Trailer, but they (especially the trailer) are a little rough. Anybody know of a good write-up or have any other suggestions for revitalizing them? The trailer is likely going to get a good grinding off of the surface rust followed by either paint or some version of a spray on/roll on bed liner, be it herculiner or other. Anybody done this? thanks for the suggestions

thanks guys, that's what I needed to hear. I'm waiting on a pic to make sure it is something I want to drive out to look at. Hopefully it's in good shape and I'll be set.

I'm looking at buying a 14' Grumman aluminum semi v boat . . . anybody have any experience or recommendations? should I run with it? avoid it?? thanks
