  1. Used to be guitar monkey, then car monkey, then tool monkey, video game monkey, then bait monkey for a long time and still currently, then guitar monkey came back again, and now bait monkey kicked everyone out and he controls my money now
  2. ive been baitcasting for little over a year now.. im very comfortable with it. as far as training my thumb.. i wouldnt be able to cast with little to 0 brakes.. lets just say that lol
  3. agreed, the final finishes do not add much weight. as fas as damage.. scratches and boatrash is all the finishes "protect" against.
  4. Glad to have ya! yeah, theres a lot of videos on here. Theres a bass resource youtube channel also.
  5. oooo dock skipping.. i never thought of that. see, this is why i post stuff like this! there is always more to learn!
  6. hello all! im thinkin of stocking up on some Daiwa Lexa rods and reels. I'd like to get either a 6'5 MH lexa baitcast rod or a 6'6 M. both extra fast action and id pair them with the lexa 100 reels. my question is.. what would be some good uses for these rods? i already have: Veritas 7' M Winch for my crankbaits Veritas 7' MH Micro Guide for Texas Rigs and plastics Veritas 7' M for Jerkbaits and Some topwater Mojo Bass 7' MH Spinnerbait and squarebills Convergence 7'2 MH Worm&Jig maybe get a lexa for a dedicated frog rod? or all around topwater? suggestions please! thanks!
  7. People will rave about shimanos good warranty. Me? .. I'll suggest a 1 piece abu garcia veritas rod you can get the 1st generations for cheap now.
  8. I'll have to look into this I guess. Id like to buy more from *** but not if this is a constant problem. I csat hard and far, mostly bank fishing
  9. Great job guys. For sale? Lol
  10. True. The actual, physical activity of fishing may not. But what comes with that level of fishing does.
  11. I handled a crucial and man that sucker is like a feather
  12. I have 2 orras. The orra 2 sx-L and the orra winch. Both so far so good. I don't beat the crap out of them, but they get used. Smooth, good casting, aluminum frame. I like
  13. I should have elaborated more, sorry lol. While I am performing the action of using the thumb bar, the handle is free. Like maybe not 100% clicked down but most of the way down, the handle is free. My citica and abu don't do that.
  14. I grabbed one also. Just got miNE last week. I like it alot. Grips are big and comfy, smooth reeling, palms great. Just 1 thing I can't wrap my head around. When I disengage the spool, I'm able to still spin the handle, freely. Seemed odd. Also, when I try to make a long cast and really come forward fast.. the spool immediately engages and my lure almost whips right back at me. Anyone else experience this?
  15. I've had opportunities to handle a few in some dicks sporting goods near me... they felt heavy and I was not impressed by the handle/grip at all. Color coordinate rod and reel is pretty cool though
  16. I have a 2500 shimano sahara and I like that size a lot. It's not small, but it's not big. Light weight, great casting distance, good power. Spools plenty of any type line. I also have a 20 series pflueger president.. THAT'S sucker is TINY! Lol but a 30 size is good, if you can.. try a 25
  17. And a bag of soft plastics for a pillow lol
  18. Unless you're KVD or ike etc. Etc.
  19. I have quite a few. I took 10 of these style corks. Thinkin of making 1 for my shimano sahara 2500 and maybe a mini 1 for my pflueger president 6920 lol
  20. Thanks! I saw these and said to myself "they look like power handle grips" and yeah.. pretty much what they are. Lovin em
  21. Yes! I've seen some of these before, great! Unfortunately my grips don't have nice big end caps, so I had to bore out the cork ends to make a lip for the screw to grab when tightened. Can't wait to hit the water!
