  2. I have a few Close eto me also, 3 of them are super walmarts! There's only 1 or 2 that have the quantum kvd rods (red), the rest of the stores have the Falcons and I've only seen a handful of vendetta near me. I like abu. I'd like to try the falcon, how are they? 1 store near me has halo daylite micros for 36 bucks on clearance!
  3. Packed all my stuff Friday night. Hit the water by 6am on Saturday. I am not a morning person lol. I got too overwhelmed with all the gear. Which bait to throw when and where to go on the lake etc. Hooked 1 decent fish and he jumped the hook right at my kayak. I think I'll stick with bank fishing for a while lol
  4. Sometimes it's just a hassle
  5. I always find myself debating on fishing or not, mainly because the work thats involved in getting ready. I usually get home from work around 3pm, and find that some days are just right to hit the water. I haven't had much luck from the banks lately and really want to get on my kayak. But what happens is, I get home and start thinking about throwing the kayak up on my car, strapping it down, pack up the fishin buddy, choose what rods to bring, how much tackle to bring etc.. and it turns me off.. so I stay home. How do you guys prepare for an "on the fly" trip? The lake I'd like to go to is about 5 miles from my house, so not too far. What do you guys do?

  7. Cutbait, I was thinking about this one a while ago. Have you even used one on the water? I used to have a field&stream tec lite spinning rod. Loved it
  8. Got the 7'3 crucial guys. Thanks to mom and pops lol
  9. Also was thinkin, maybe I should wait until black friday??? There might be slammin deals and I have a birthday in September, which means more gift cards! Lol
  10. If they had a MH 7ft or taller crucial that would be nice, but unfortunately these are my only options :/ also, I have a 6'6 MH compre and am not a fan of it. I'm so used to my 7fters. I think 7ft and up is the way to go!
  11. Ahh decisions!
  12. Or veracity for 50 bucks!!!?!?!?
  13. just to be clear, the crucial is the newest one i think... full cork grip and the blank is a funky wavy green color after the reel seat and then its wavy grey the rest of the rod... sorry for the bad description
  14. I do a lot of bank fishing. My current jig rod I'm not a fan of, 7ft temple fork. I have a kayak I try to get out on but not so much. I like the 6'10 crucial (well I like both, the 7'3 also) but that duckett is SO light weight! I have currently an old shimano compre 6'6 medium heavy and all my other rods are 7ft. I was Thinkin a longer rod to change things up? Idk :/
