  1. Cast parallel to any outside bend With a bill lewis silver trap. Rip through the grass like no tomorrow. It’s a lot of work. Your corn will be sore Monday morning.
  2. Nothing much different only the fish bite is a lot more dependent on the tides. Summer pattern for me is to fish outside creek bends, flip vegetation, fan cast points with deep water access, frog on the pads. Planning your fishing on an outgoing tide day will give you a better chance for success.
  3. Why focus on main river points when it’s pre spawn? I would be scouting for potential spawning areas and then finding spawn staging areas nearby. Shallow flats with good sun exposure is what I would be keying in on. After that then maybe main lake points. If you find a good spawning area a jackal ganteral is clutch. This time of year in general though I like craw color cranks and traps. I also like white flukes and green pumpkin senkos. My setup would be a trap, crank, fluke, ned rig, and a wacky senko. I would cover water with the trap/crank and pick fishy spots apart with the ned rig and fluke. BTW I live in MD so this pattern should be solid.
  4. Winter time there I go offshore and drag a C rig. Or, or I’m throwing a ned rig. The ned is almost money on some dink’s any time of year.
  5. It’s open, I have a video on YouTube of me going through. If you insist on fishing the lake, head down river past the no wake zone. There are some good spots down there as well. Just past the no wake zone on the left Jus past the first dock there is some type of submerged structure. It looks like a big ladder, I usually wear that spot out with a senko. If you have electronics, should be able to locate it. Also, there’s is a “‘man made wall” just past eagles landing directly in front of a house on the water on the right. Fish all that area as well. Throw the fluke as close to the wall as you can. FYI these are all community holes, they are no secret and get hit weekly for Ed Allen’s bass tournament
  6. The mouth between Johnson and Lacey creek. Fish that entire area around the duck blind and out further. Also the outside bend of Johnson. That area in general is the best spot for sure. I would have a shad color trap, a square bill, Blk/blue senko, and a green pumpkin fluke. Work that trap and fluke to death. It’s a tough lake. Head to Diascund just down the road to wear em out.
  7. I’m sure the current heat wave plays a factor. Also some tide conditions can really turn the bite off.
  8. Fished Ed Allen's Tournament last weekend water temp was about 65. They were eating finesse top waters in the afternoon. Fishing was a bit tough though. As far as I could tell they hadn't made it to the backs of the creeks yet. The biggest bags were caught past the No Wake Zones. Caught a bunch of chain picks on a spinnerbait.
  9. Head away from RTE 5 bridge and the first creek on your right is Gordons Creek. Fish all the outside bends. If no action there go back out to the main river and head North just a little ways up. To your left is Morris creek, fish all those outside bends. If there is no action in there head back out to the main river and go north just a little ways to buzzard bay which is on the right side of the river. Pick that place apart. Last but definitely not least is just up from buzzard bay is shields point and black stump creek. These are my 2 favorite spots to fish so I would recommend making the run up there first and fishing down. If the water temp is in the 60's first couple hours of incoming tide are when they are chewing. Baits: Willow Blade War Eagles, Wacky Senkos in natural colors 3/16 oz jig head, Flukes (smallest splitshot you can find), Rapala Dt 6 in Ikes Old School, and a Spro Poppin Frog in BROWN.
  10. Tournament went well, we didn't place but pulled in a nice 3lb bass deep cranking in about 15 foot of water. I spent most of my time with a Carolina rig dragging the edges of the grass beds. The numbers where there but since it was only biggest bass we missed it by about a pound.
  11. Thank you for the tips. I will let you know how it goes.
  12. Anyone have information on this lake? I know its a small body of water and the bass go deep in the summer. Anyone know where I can find some underwater stumps or roadbeds? Any Piney Run fishing related advice would be amazing. Thanks in advance guys/gals.
  13. Rapala DT 6 colors: Ike's Old School and Ike's Girlfriend.
