  1. If you had to pick one rod, line, and lure to use for the rest of your life what would it be? Mine would be a 7'2" falcon cara heavy with 17lbs mono and a green pumpkin jig.
  2. I have one, every time I catch a fish on the first cast the rest of my day is horrible. So before I start fishing I flip my bait about 5 feet out and reel it in quick so I get that first cast out of the way.
  3. I cant figure out how to enter online I guess I need to call them.

  12. I have a bassmaster open in june on the river. Any suggestions? Ive never fished the Arkansas.
  13. I would fish the old bankline. itll be a little deeper but alot of times fish will hold where the water once was. try dragging a jig or worm out in 15-20 ft of water off the banks.
  14. My favorite is the falcon cara 7'4" mclelland series. It is really great for jigs. I am on a college fishing team and with my discount it runs about 126.00 dollar. I bought it off of tackle warehouse.
  15. Ive noticed it sometimes on my jigs as well. I have experimented it could be a number of things. My numberr one problem is my trailor. Make sure your trailor isnt to big and make sure its straight. and sometimes when you tie the polomar it helps to downsize the line a tad.
  16. I have have great luck with gamakatsu 3/0 straight shank. I use the bigger hook because im around a lot of big fish but as Catt mentioned a 2/0 works great as well.
  17. Put some 3-4 pound bass in it. they will help control the perch population.
  18. i would highly suggest an ugly stick light. Its unbreakable and also its fairley light weight. its got the power to fight those stripers and it can also double as a catfish rod.
  19. One of the best baits to throw year round is a spinnerbait. Its great in the wind and is a big fish bait. One tip i can give you is upsize your weight of your bait. and another is make your casts lower and faster. Instead of throwing over hand up into the wind, side arm your casts lower to the water keeping your bait out of more wind. This will help get greater distance with your casts.
  20. The best setup is a 7' 6" baitcasting rod with 65# braid. Work the rod tip very low or very high so when the fish hit you can the fish the 2-3 seconds it needs to engulf the frog. Then you try and break its neck.
  21. The guys get beat up also. Keep in mind they are the ones to first clear out the bed for the females.
