  1. Yep! The Leviathan is on my list as well.
  2. I use 12 lb big game as well for deep cranking. Been looking at defier for a long time, haven't gotten the guts to buy a spool yet.
  3. Which goes to say, maybe it's time for shallow spools in spinning reels. Japan already has this figured out.
  4. I agree. I'm really enjoying the 96 mm handle on my Metanium xG. Feels weird when I switch back to my curado or lews with an 84 mm handle. Grantman's right though, I think most manufactures have caught on. Maybe we'll see more reels with longer handles in the near future. Not to get too far off track but on a similar note: I wonder when spinning reel manufactures will realize that you don't need 250 yards of 6 lb test line for bass fishing.
  5. ~Jig ~Dropshot
  6. Saying the most your willing to spend is $250: I'd probably go daiwa tatula 5.4:1 ($100 on Amazon) for reel and 14 or 16 lb mono for line, if your going to be using 10xds. Rod is a little harder. With $150 or so remaining, there's not a lot of deep cranking rods out there that will handle the 10xd for that price. Your best bet will probably be the *** *** black crankenstein. It will handle the baits you mentioned fine. Good luck!
  7. Nice! Funny thing is my boss is out this weekend as well so I don't have to work tomorrow. Unfortunately no fishing planned in the near future.
  8. SHM, Avicii, Tiesto.
  9. Do it! It's not the lightest combo but the balance is great compared to Nrx 893 with the same reel. Very versatile as well. I've used it mostly with jigs and plastics but it handles swimbaits and even squarebills nicely. First combo I've had in a while that I have nothing but good things to say about... Can't wait for more time on the water with it.
  10. X2. The sunfish looks cool, but I can't really think of any practical application for it. Given the choice, I'll take a spro frog any day.
  11. Kvd 1.5 and 2.5
  12. Nice smallies! Congrats.
  13. Forget about the crucial, I'd say it's between the e6x and zodias. I have the e6x and I love it for the price. Haven't handled the zodias yet but I've heard some great reports.
  14. Swimming, running, a lot of basketball. Pretty much exercise. Not a whole lot I enjoy besides fishing
  15. You got that right: I didn't get that smallie to pose like that without it jumping all over the rod and reel first
  16. Thanks! I agree they match perfectly.
  17. Finally got the met out with its new partner. No big fish but the dinks were chewing the jig: Decided to put it on a megabass orochi xx emtf. Perfect 3/8 ounce jig combo. It's like they were made for each other:
  18. Thank God! A new daiwa without t-wing! Haven't bought a daiwa in a while but this one has my attention. Looks fly.
  19. Honestly: I can't think of any one thing I spend enough money on to consider it a "monkey" besides fishing tackle. That's how I know I have a problem
  20. 2" keitech swing impact or easy shiner.
  21. Sweet beaver and middle d-bomb.
