  1. I like a NRX 901
  2. I've never tried it, I usually run P-Line tcb 8 in 10lb on most my spinning rods. I did however seen some Spiderwire ultra cast 8 in 6lb test that looked and felt really good, I might try it out soon. Its starting to warm up a bit and the Ice will be gone soon I think, in a way it kinda sucks because I've been having a blast ice fishing...
  3. Shimano or Daiwa would be my choice.
  4. Almost anything will be better then "favorite" LOL Gloomis St Croix Megabass Dobyns Shimano Daiwa Kistler Phenix I pretty much use Gloomis, Megabass and St Croix the most.
  5. I hold mine like this guy and sometimes like Aaron Martins So I think a lot of the balance depends on how you hold your combo.
  6. What power pro did you use? I've used the Sunline Asegai braid and its a thinner line when comparing lb strength to PPV2. I usually put on .006 on my spinning reels, sunlines .006 is closer to actual spec vs PPV2 .006
  7. I have a H3 medium light spinning rod, its a nice rod and I love the NFC blank, it would be such a nice build with fuji guides and a different reel seat. IMO the NFC blank is as sensative as a GLX.
  8. I use the 1000 size for ice fishing, but I have used the 1000 size in open water and it works fine. I do prefer the 2500 shimano and 3000 size daiwa reels the most.
  9. Shimano Aldebaran or a Shimano Stradic CI4+ 1000 that is what I use the most. But here is a best inline that I have seen https://www.ebay.com/itm/Shimano-reel-black-sea-bream-raft-19-Seihakou-SP-RC83-Red-RIGHT/254399121024?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144
  10. Got a new case for ice fishing, orvis safe passage carry it all. I could carry up to 4-5 rods if I change the configuration :big grin:
  11. Like others have said they all fade to white, but even after they do fade they are very visible.
  12. The TCB 8 keeps its color better over the Sufix IMO. I prefer the P-line.
  13. Not sure on a rod yet. But I might pick up a 1000 size also to use for ice fishing...
  14. I got the new FL, its a sweet reel and the best stradic out so far IMO.
  15. My most used spinning rods are 7'6" and my longestand most used baitcasters are 7' to 7'1"
  16. Bassresource Mikey Balzz Jay Siemens "ice fishing" Tackle Advisors YBS young bloods "Australia" In Depth Outdoors, during ice fishing season mostly. Googan Squad....haha Just kidding
  17. I like cork, full or split. I do however like how a full grip looks. Use U-40 on all my rods and they stay nice and easy to clean. The only rod I have with EVA is my TUCR Bullwhip, Its a sweet rod for ice fishing.
  18. Gliss and nonofil are the smoothest I've ever seen, but I don't use them because tying a FG knot with these lines is a pain in the ass. Pline TCB8, PP SSV2, Sunline Xplasma and Seaguar smackdown are the braids I use most with excellent success.
  19. I have a 301e I use for muskie fishing, if I'm correct its the last Curado series that was made in Japan..
  20. I like both, I do however like how a full grip looks myself but that's not a deciding factor when I purchase a rod.
  21. I would choose the Bantam. Nuff said
