  1. Remove the spool bearings and clean them.
  2. I use a 2500 size from shimano and daiwa, I also run braid to flourocarbon leader.
  3. I always go by diameter over pound ratings. Check sufix for example... U.S. vs international pound ratings https://www.rapala.com/sufix/braid/832-advanced-superline/832-advanced-superlineandreg/832+Advanced+Superline.html https://sufix.fishing/products/832-advanced-superline
  4. 1/4 to 3/8 is my go to weights, deeper I will use the 3/8 but if its windy and a lot of waves I move to 1/2
  5. I've used TCB8 quite a bit, the yellow is better then the green, it does not flake like the green does. It would be my go to braid if they made yellow in 10lb Its better then 832 IMO and its super strong...
  6. Go with the 832 Super slick frays easy IMO.
  7. Vicious no-fade braid is amazing Fins 40g 5lb (but its not really 5lb) on my spinning reels the best is Varivas braid....
  8. I use a Dobyns Fury for my crankbait rod and it does its job amazing for what it is..
  9. Hedgehog air or ZPI are excellent. On some of my high end reels like the Shimano calcutta conquest I don't change because they are excellent.
  10. I've always had excellent customer service from Shimano/Gloomis.
  11. I been using Vicious No-Fade braid and its excellent, 2 seasons using it now and it looks brand new. My spinning rods have Hi-vis Fins 40g and I use a flourocarbon leader on those rods.
  12. So who is getting the new Conquest rods
  13. Out of the two I would go with the St-Croix
  14. Your gonna have to ask them next time you see one... I use a Fluorocarbon leader.
  15. The only brakes I have used has been shimano's centrifugal, but I will be getting the Ryoga when its available.
  16. I bookmark everything I want....
  17. If you are looking for some of the best, get some Varvias high grade X8
  18. Pline TCB 8 yellow just with they had it in 10lb, Fins 40g in 5lb is excellent. Sufix is decent.
  19. Why spend a $120 when you can buy a Ugly Stick? I like Scott Martin but he is kind of a tool... I love my NRX and Megabass rods, they are simply amazing to fish with. I do believe they help you catch more fish when fishing on the bottom, feeling the bite is important.
  20. Upgrade the transducer?
  21. Boat mostly, I do wade local rivers during winter and early spring and late fall.
