  1. My choice would be the 852 and the 853, better yet the 893.
  2. If I used a spinning rod for cranks it would be the new St-Croix Legend Tournament Glass. I have the casting model and its amazing... https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/St_Croix_Legend_Glass_Crankbait_Spinning_Rods/descpage-GLZS.html#customer_reviews
  3. Thanks, I love the Synapse 25. The reel is the Steez type II high speed from Japan.
  4. I charge mine after use, if I don't go for a week or so I will plug in my charger. The charge I have been using for a couple years is a NOCO Genius, nothing fancy but it works...
  5. Two weeks ago I lost a 3600 size case of my medium diving cranks, it was full of megabass, duo, and a few other hard to get Japan baits, it was around $300 worth of baits. Blew off my boat and by the time I found it missing it was either picked up by another boat or shore fisherman. It wouldn't have sank since all of those baits float....it still hurts inside What can you do?
  6. I got both, I feel the Addermine has just a little more power....its literally hard to notice between the two. Also the Addermine is a little more sensitive. Both rods look and feel amazing to fish. Addermine has fuji titanium sic guides, Orochi XX has fuji stainless steel sic guides Is the Addermine worth the extra $100, I would say yes...
  7. Its the Whipsnake.
  8. Shore fishing today..
  9. I love NFC blanks, I have a Kistler Magnesium 3 and its a awesome rod for its price.
  10. I would take the 852c
  11. I use my 852c for shakeyhead and tube jigs up to 1/4oz plus plastic. My 853c works for my heavier tube rod 3/8oz, I also use it for 3/8oz with 3.8" keitechs. Both are amazing rods, the 853c has some serious power.
  12. I love my NRX, St-Croix and Megabass rods as much as I love my high end reels.
  13. Same, some of the 2500-3000 size shimano reels have different handles.... Spool lips are the same, 3000 is just deeper.
  14. I use the FG knot and have never had it cause a backlash, its the strongest leader connection except for the PR knot. I hate how other knots have two tag ends that catch guides, the FG only has one and its covered by half hitch knots. Love it....
  15. NRX and a Metanium from japan.
  16. I love my Calcutta Conquest 101 for cranking 5.2:1 One of the other reasons I prefer a slower gear ratio is because it makes the cranking feel easier (power) to wind in which in return is less fatigue.
  17. I have some 6th sense crush 75x's that just showed up today thanks to this thread. Will be getting a few of these next.
  18. I want a deep diving flat sided crank....
  19. Strike king KVD 1.5 flat side are excellent for around 5 bucks.
  20. Braid to fluorocarbon for me. I fish deep rock structure most the time and if I get a snag I would rather lose my leader then have to cut a ton of braid off, also most of the time my knot will brake at the bait, my leader knots are simply amazing (fg knot) There is no weak link with my FG knot, its amazing. But I see no problem fishing mono as a leader or strait braid, I have done both and have not had any problems catching fish.
  21. braid to leader on all my setups.
  22. Kistler Helium 3 ML with the north fork blank....nuff said
  23. Megabass addermine or whipsnake with shimano exsence and Daiwa Steez 17 high speed.
  24. Simms buffs are the best I have used, columbia PFG is the best fit long sleeve shirt for me followed by underarmour. As for gloves, I love the Outdoor Research palmless gloves, they are built excellent and have a excellent warranty. I do need some kind of pants but usually end up wearing shorts and flip flops....
  25. I have the MH, best with 1/2 oz cranks and up but does okay with 3/8 depending on the crank. Its also amazing for lipless cranks. Do it
