  1. Looks like a great 5 days at the cabin!
  2. Try moving to a jig. I noticed today they were not chasing at all...
  3. Thanks! You definitely cannot beat a good day of fishing and a great forum!
  4. Hello Forum, I went out today and fished 2 ponds. It is interesting to see how in one pond a specific lure is the bait of choice however in another pond it doesn't work at all. I started the day trying to locate bass by cranking Rapalas with a KVD 7.1 reel however they were not chasing so I switched to a Senko and got a few hits but it was slow. I then switched to my jigs and I couldn't keep the bass off of the line. It was a fun day and I took two pictures of a 1lb and 3.5lb bass posted below:
  5. No doubt, what a hawg! Congrats!
  6. Excellent! Congrats on the catch!
  7. Congrats! It is always fun to catch a bass on something new!
  8. In my opinion Bass are not a good tasting fish. I think when I tried a Bass many years ago it was a bit weedy tasting.... Sunfish are ok however you will have to filet a lot of them to get any decent meal. Go for something with a bit more meat if like to eat freshwater fish. Personally I gave up on eating any freshwater fish except Walleyes, Crappies and Saltwater fish such as Tuna.
  9. Where did you get a photo of my PB?
  10. Looks like a great trip and some real nice catches!
  11. Great story and imagine if that fish was sized to be your next PB. It would have been quite the fight.
  12. Great photo. Thanks for posting.
  13. I went out today and tested out the Senko rig per your advice (thank you) at my pond. I couldn't keep the bass off the line. I didn't stay long enough to catch any size however rigging the senkos whacky made the difference. It was a lot of fun. I am posting a picture of one of the little dudes caught today below:
  14. Thanks to everyone! So far it seems like a great place to hang out. Good fishing to everyone.
  15. Thanks!
