  1. Did the same thing yesterday ?
  2. Turn your phone sideways should be able to see it then
  3. Here is how I ended up at Cherokee
  4. Thank you both ill see what I can find like that
  5. Catt, Thanks for the reply, would you have a photo to show what your describing? I'm not experienced with jigs and honestly have avoided fishing them as I constantly donate them to my local lake. But it's time for me to move past that and figure out how to effectively fish them here.
  6. What would be the reason for picking a vertical over horizontal or vice versa? I'm looking at finesse jigs and confused. I fish primarily rocks with some isolated wood, salt cedars, willows and tumble weeds. Don't laugh it's all we got for cover here.
  7. I switched over to this last year. I ran 10 lb test on all my rods. I fish a lake that is mainly structure little to no cover. This line handled my cranks, t-rigs, drop shot extremely well. I am going to keep running it.
  8. I heard they are going to be doing live coverage is this true?
  9. I tanked this week. I tried to roll some folks I thought might sneak away with something and the only one that seemed to do ok was mccelland. Powroznik really let me down I figured he would be top 20 in these conditions. Congrat to those of you in the top 90 that's a feat I was able to pull for one year, best overall tourney I ever had was in flow for 7th one time blew my mind!!!
  10. So someone mentioned the BPS backpack. Two good options one for 30 and another for 65. I don't have the same exact bag but I do have an XPS bag from bass pro. I've been extremely pleased with the durability of the bag. No issues with zippers or the material being junk. So I would recommend something from there backpack lineup.
  11. Mine finally showed up, porowzknik mccelland wheeler Lefeber walker
  12. Looking at my roster today seems like my entire team got dropped anyone else seeing that?
  13. Wasn't looking at a shimano reel. I'm looking at some new spinning reels from the same company I'm looking at the rod from. But cannot use there name here. I was also thinking a larger spool size because of line twist not so much a capacity issue. Outside of one cranking rod I run backing on my rods to save on the expense.
  14. Ok I was just wondering if there was a downside to have the larger reel. Also would this set up work for a jerk bait or in you opinion to light? I'm a shorter guy so I rarely go over a 7' except for crankbaits. But I will explore the possibilities before i make my purchase.
  15. So a smaller size real I was thinking of a 3000 size reel the x model. Any reason to stay away from the larger size reel?
  16. Currently I'm looking at a 6'10" med light extra fast. Rated for 1/8-1/2 oz and 4-10 lb test. Made by a company we can't name. I was wondering if this rod would be ideal for this? And could I double up techniques and use it to throw a neko rig and possibly the Ned rig? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
  17. Joined should be fun
  18. This was the way I learned how to start catching fish on plastics. Not sure is I read it correctly but a 12" leader might be a little short, unless your talking about the drop from hook to weight? I also fish senkos on a flick shake, works really well when the fall rate needs to be faster, or they are on beds. I use the bps brand, never had a problem with them. Tight lines!
  19. Only thing that comes to mind would be some grubs, single or double probably doesn't matter. They catch fish and you could probably get some in your price range.
  20. Wish that was an option, I'm about a 6 hour drive to the one nearest me. I haven't had a bad real yet so I'm going to go ahead and give it a try and see how it does
  21. Ok thanks for the input, they run about 3.5 outta 5. Think I'll try one out seeing as they are less right now than the pro. Appreciate the feedback!
  22. I bought a lews speed spin for around 70. I am very happy with it, it's tuff my 3 year old could break it, and the drag worked perfectly for me all summer. I'd say look into them.
  23. Just a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews and they talk about gears grinding. I'm looking for a reel to through jerkbaits and possibly small toowater.
  24. I rarely use snaps, I have had them bend out before. But if I do I tgo to the split ring, maybe it's just me but I'd rather tie to the bait and a palomar knot doesn't take long to tie. Works great for me.
  25. They have them on sale for 89, are they worth it? I have three pro qualifiers already and I'm looking for a reel to use throwing jerkbaits.
