  2. A Lane B Evers C Faircloth D Connell E Hartman See how these boys shake out today
  3. Good luck!
  4. I used to only fish the 4”, but after following up a new boater one day I was schooled and he was fishing 5”. I think there is a time for each. I use senkos, trick worms, cane thumpers. Try it out and develop confidence.
  5. Hobie has a new kayak out the lanii. It’s only a paddle drive smaller but I think you could get into it for less than 900. I’m not sure if it for your needs but I’d check it out
  6. I have the Columbia blood and guts version of their summer time hoodie. It’s awesome, I got it because the buffs drive me nuts. Think it is spf50 anti microbial and stain resistant. Check them out online I’m very pleased with mine
  7. I have found that the stick baits by big bite baits work pretty well as a replacement to gycb
  8. Which would you buy the pq2 or the arachnid for pitching trigs and jigs up to 3/4 oz? All in out is welcome thanks!
  9. Agree with you @OCdockskipper it’s like guys who kill big bull out west, no need to sit two feet behind its rear when it scores 380 smh
  10. In the Southwest it’s supposed to be 70 my son wants to go do we will head out in the afternoon good luck!
  11. Not sure if I’m correct but I think it went into the sharelunker program. I think they will spawn her in captivity then release? Any tx guys know how it works?? I need to take a trip to tejas to visit my brother and go find some pigs like that! Congrats to the angler!
  12. Picked up a vision 110+1 and vision 110jr plopper 110 never spent that much on a bait. But looking forward to throwing those jerkbaits
  13. I was 28, but was pulling a trailer @ 12 on the ranch to feed with.
  14. I started taking my son to the lake at almost 3, and helping him fish once he was 3. My daughter is 2 fixing to be 3 and already loves to fish.... both of them last about 30 mins then it’s time to bug hunt and look for dinosaur bones on the beach. I love it!
  15. I had Gustafson and birdge who did well and casteldine and wendlant fished well. Scott Martin has forgot how to fish in Florida smh ?
  16. I’m a long way from Atlanta, just a question have you looked for a local club to fish as a non-boater? It’s what I did, got me on the water, fished with more experienced anglers and have improved my skills. Usually the fees for a tourney are the same if not less, you may fish against everyone or just the non-boaters. And most guys just want some help loading unloading and a chip in on gas, though I get a lot I was going to fish today w or w/o a non-boater and refuse the cash.
  17. I’ve had luck throwing a tube into the frenzy and picking off this fish that are below that bait ball not working as hard for a meal. Never seen largemouth jump out but have seen a smallmouth do it... just not the norm they seem to skim the surface and make a ton of commotion
  18. I’d say a small pop r for top water they have produced for me in the sw, ne, and se. it’s not to big or noisy and all kinds of fish will hit them.
  19. Look into a woodsman pro, it’s a small machete like device, can easily help you open something up. We use them clearing trail and in the Everglades. They sure make beating the brush much easier, and you can maintain your path overtime. Also they are pretty light weight and fit in a backpack.
  20. McClintock, lonesome dove, and the cowboys. All time favorite is the quiet man.
  21. Beautiful work!
  22. I use line conditioner as well. I like to spray mine on a cloth, and run my line through it as I spool it. Keeps my reels much cleaner that way.
  23. Lots of options out there. The type of crankbait you want will vary on how deep you plan to fish it. If you have water in that 6-8’ range the square bills will work well. Deep than that I’d look at series 3 or 3xd from strike king as well. That should help you cover most depths. Sexy Shad is a good all around color, but I’d throw in a bluegill pattern and craw of some sort. I love to fish cranks from the bank and you can be very successful at it when your timing is right. Good luck man.
  24. Will do @Catt thanks!
  25. So @WRBthat’s great info on threadfin, they Lake I fish has those as well as gizzard Shad. How and when do lmb and/or smallmouth target one, and how does a having stripers play into that mix? Are they less likely to move out into open water and school to chase baitfish? And what type of structure would you target?
